On a rainy Friday afternoon, I needed help with a spike in my tire. The guys at this location were extremely friendly and best of all, willing to work WITH me. The first tech got my tire out of the trunk, told me he'd call with the results of his investigation (whether it could be fixed or needed replacing) AND got a torque wrench to tighten my spare up! When I returned the next day, I got free coffee, another great smile, and incredibly fast service! Even though this location is not close to my home, I appreciate the feeling that I am a valued customer, not an invoice to be worked and will happily go the extra 5 miles to have them work on my car again! Thanks to all 4 of the guys I had dealings with.

I have been taking my car here for years. The team is helpful and I trust they know what needs to be done with my vehicle. They recommend options for addition work if need be. And they stand behind the repairs. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

Craig the sales manager and Brian the technician, are exceptional!! Everything was explained to me, and was fixed right the first time. The entire staff at this location is welcoming and very knowledgeable. Being a woman, I'm sometimes treated like i dont know what is going on with my car, and I've been taken advantage of. BUT NOT HERE!!! There's a reason I drive from Elk River to this location! Craig Banwell is amazing!!

Friendly, honest, fast and a great price. I finally had service done and didn't walk out feeling like I was overcharged. As a woman you tend to feel like service guys talk over you and feel like they over charge you

Craig is an amazing manager! Craig explained everything to me, and I wasn't treated like a"dumb female". I was given options, told what would be the best fix for me. Just the whole experience was relaxing, well as much as it could be, considering your there getting your vehicle fixed. There's a reason why I drive from Elk River to come here. It's all about the customer service!!!! Also amazing technicians!!

I won’t be going back to the Hawthorne Firestone ever again. I simply can’t trust them. It started about a year ago when I brought my (newly bought) 2012 Chrysler 300 in for an oil change. It was the first “nice” car purchase I’d ever made and really loved the vehicle. Anyhow, when I returned to pick up my Chrysler, two of the valve stem caps were missing (two shiny chrome nitrogen-fill caps that aligned with the overall appearance of the vehicle). Now this particular Firestone doesn’t offer nitrogen-fill, so I was asked WHY they were even removed. The only answer I received was “for a courtesy check,” which again made absolutely zero sense to me because—even if low—the service station could not have refilled them with nitrogen. So, the loss of the caps was even more pointless. And Firestone’s only solution was to simply offer me two cheap, green plastic replacement caps—since the chrome N2 caps were nowhere to be found. As irritated as I was, I chose to let it go. Clearly, I shouldn’t have. Ever since that trip, whenever I brought my Chrysler into the shop (now with mismatched valve stem caps), I’ve repeatedly told the front counter person, “Do not remove the caps and check the tire pressure because they’re nitrogen-filled”. I felt stupid even having to spell this out so explicitly each time. I felt awkward and even a bit condescending in tone. But, I also felt I had to over-explain and stress it to them because of their history. Now fast forward to this past Friday (2/3/17). I brought my Chrysler in for another service appointment. I told the front counter person, as I always do, to not have the technician remove the valve stem caps. But when I came back, I saw in the comments of my service report that “air” (not nitrogen-fill, but regular old air) had been added to my tires because they were a few PSI low. I couldn’t’ believe it. I just shook my head at the sheer carelessness of it all. Again. Now this particular issue may seem a bit petty in the grand scheme of things, small change, whatever. But, my point is this: If I can’t trust this particular Firestone with a simple request like this one, how can I possibly trust them with a bigger service issue—and potentially a far more expensive one? They’ve fully lost my trust. And trust is the most important thing to me when choosing ANY service. Simply put, they’ve failed in that regard.

The Harmon Ave Mpls MN location was very service oriented and filled my tires several times until the service date. The 2 problematic tires were properly inspected and repaired, all tires were properly inflated and the oil change was completed. By stopping by the Harmon Ave Mpls MN several times for air in the tires, I met the techs. They were very proud to work for Firestone, checked the tire wear and valve stems and offered good advice. One recommendation was to consider tire replacement. The other was that Firestone may not be the least expensive for tire repair, but they are thorough and the techs take pride in their work.

I took my car in because of heating issues. Everything that they suggested that my car needed in addition to the thermostat, I agreed they could do. 1250.00. They kept my car about a day and a half. When I got my car back the heat was fine. My car started skipping/ loosing pressure. I called the next morning when I got home from work . They told me to bring it back and they would fix whatever was causing the issue. They called me that evening and said they needed to keep it overnight, to wait on a part that should be in the next morning...if it didn't fix the issue, I didn't have to pay for part, nor labor, which would've been about 263.00, that's when I told the man that I do not have money for any more parts nor labor, my car was running great except for heat when I brought it in. I've already payed now it's not operational. The next evening, I called them back, to see what was going on...that's when I was told that they're not sure what's wrong with it. It could be the computer brain...but since the car is 15 yrs old, they may not be able to locate 1. Then if they find 1 , they can install it but, they'll probably have to have it towed to the dealership to have it programmed. " My car was running great, before I took it to have the heat fixed along with all of Firestones additional recomendations, now it's undrivable...and no one is owning up to breaking something while working on my car. .

Called this business early in the morning not really believing that they could schedule me in right away. However, was I 'surprised' as they had me scheduled and assured me that what I needed would be there for them to process and complete what I had requested. They also provided me with great customer interaction and their professional services. Thanks Firestone! :) Greatly appreciated.

I've had the best service at this location. They are friendly, helpful, and so convenient. I drop my car off before work, and pick it up after work. The staff aren't pushy, do a fantastic job, and I've recommended them time and again to friends and co-workers. Thanks for the outstanding service!

Horrible customer service. I made an appointment for 4:00, to allow them enough time to complete the 45K checkup on my car. I arrived at 4, and Ian, who helped me at the front desk, failed to make eye contact and listen when I was explaining additional items I wanted them to check while in. I sat down in the waiting room, and watched my car sit in the lot for 45 minutes, not entering the shop until 4:45. When I asked when it was going to be done, and why it sat so long, the response I received was, "it's like a doctors office. We're doing the best we can." That they were "waiting for my cabin air filter to arrive. . . he ordered it a little bit ago and it should be there any minute." At 5:30 they came and got me because my car was finished. I then received this: Ian: "You're not going to be happy with me." Me: "Why not?" Ian: "Well, to replace your cabin filter we have to remove a pedal, then it is behind plastic. Because it's so cold the plastic was really brittle, and when we went to undo the clips it acted like it was going to break. We turned the heat up on it trying to warm it, but nothing worked. It really needed to sit in the shop longer to warm up." I finally interjected: "What are you trying to say?!" Ian: "We didn't replace the air filter." So after an hour and a half, sitting 45 minutes after my appointment time, and leaving work early to make this appointment, they didn't complete the slated work. I then asked, "So if it would have gotten in the shop on time, when I made my appointment for 4:00, it would've been warm enough after an hour and a half, yes?" And the response I received was, "Well, perhaps, but there's no way to tell." They also didn't turn off my warning lights for the "Time for Regular Maintenance" and "Fill Washer Fluid". The other work I asked them to look into. . . Never addressed. I will NEVER be returning to this company. Rich, their manager is just as bad with customer service. So if you are someone who appreciates a good experience and customer service is important, don't waste your time. . . They sure don't value it.

I had my oil changed approximately 6 weeks ago. I had a scheduled appointment. The oil change took an hour. The mechanic came out with 3 pages of recommended work that needed to be done. They told me about several things that needed to be fixed. I was aware of most of the fixes except I needed a new serpentine belt. I thought this was strange since I just had a radiator replaced and I was sure my regular mechanic would have informed me of that. I have a 90 Acura Legend. This car does not have a surpentine belt. It has separate belts for each component, air conditioning, water pump etc. Also I know my front tie rod ends need to be replaced. You can definitely hear that. No mention of that issue. Beware of Firestone. These shops have numerous complaints and inexperienced technicians.

I have been a steady customer of the DT Mpls. Firestone Service Center since 1987. For most of that time, I have been exceedingly pleased with the service that they provided on my vehicles. However, during the last five years I have had a series of disappointing incidents when having my vehicles serviced there. These incidents include technical failings (e.g. four visits to finally resolve a cooling system issue) and a lack of attention to simple details (e.g. leaving the oil filler cap off of the engine after an oil change). On each of two recent visits, I requested that a parking lamp bulb be replaced. (Different bulbs on different visits.) When I picked up my car after the first visit, I asked whether all the work, including the bulb replacement, had been completed. The answer was, "Yes." I started up the car and discovered that the bulb had not been replaced, although I was charged for the replacement. The service manager had the bulb replaced when I brought this omission to his attention. On my most recent visit, I requested another bulb replacement. This time, the replacement was made. However, when I looked under the hood, I noticed that the weather cover on the back of the bulb housing had not been put back in place. I found the cover lying behind the light housing and snapped it back in place, noting that the technician had broken off one of the fastening ears on the plastic cover. I can forgive the broken ear, but I have difficulty forgiving the fact that the cover had not been put back in place. The frequency of these issues is now running at about 40-50%, meaning that I experience a problem on about every other service visit. Management has been very apologetic about these problems, but ineffective at proactively avoiding their occurrence. I am extremely disappointed by this continued sloppy performance, and frustrated that if cannot by corrected. Maybe it's time to find a new service provider for my automotive maintenance needs.

I purchased life-time alignment and a set of all season tires last fall. The change in handling of my Mazda 5 was amazing. This little light car needs all the help it can get on the ice and the tires made all the difference.
