I was on a road trip with my family and my vehicle started showing some signs as though something was wrong. I just had it serviced so I was not all too concerned, after ignoring some signs at first they became worse. I google spots to stop and get it looked at, as for it being a saturday I had limited options. I chose firestone on Garners Ferry Rd in Columbia, SC. They helped diagnose the problem, walked me through what happened, fixed the problem, insured my safety, gave me and my family free lunch, and did this all for free

Be prepared to wait several hours if you don’t make an appointment! They get your vehicle on the lift and remove your wheels within 1/2 hour. After that you’re stuck for several hours waiting.

En route from Canada to Florida, I was an emergency "drop-in" and arrived 10 minutes before the shop was to open at 7 AM, with a bothersome metallic rattle coming from underneath the driver's seat. I was let into the shop immediately by the very welcoming Tia — within 5 minutes (still before the usual opening time of 7 AM), Tia had my car problem written up and had passed it on to Mike, the technician, who was equally welcoming. He finished up some work on another car, then brought my Nissan Pathfinder into the shop, put it onto the lift, assessed the situation and came out to assure me it was nothing serious and that he would have it fixed in no time (heat shield had come unattached owing to rust). —— Mike reattached the heat shield, and I went up to Tia, credit card in hand. It was 7:40 AM, a mere 45 minutes since I had shown up at their door, not knowing what to expect or how long into the day our journey to Florida would be delayed. —— Tia wrote up the Customer Invoice and handed it to me with my keys and said, "I'm so glad we were able to help you out! — no charge today, Mike really didn't do anything — have a safe journey!" I was speechless!!! —— Please know that after finishing this survey, I am going to write a VERY POSITIVE review on Trip Advisor, not only for the Garner's Ferry Firestone Complete Auto Care, but for the company in general. I am forever grateful for the EXCELLENT and IMMEDIATE service I received, combined with welcoming personalities, a comfortable and clean waiting area, an organized and efficient service area and — equally important — AWESOME fresh-brewed coffee. —— To Tia and Mike: THANK YOU SO MUCH! I came in about 2 hours before closing, and needed a tire. They did not have my size tire in the store. However they ordered one for me and had it ready to go by 10:00 am the next day.

I forgot to add to my experience with my change to the Gervais location from the Beltline location. The Gervais location informed us that when the Beltline location repair the serpentine belt, that they stripped the bolt that goes to the block. That the tension on the belt was the only thing holding everything into place. Therefore the belt was slowly slipping away and being tore. Sincerely, Mrs. Burnett

The staff at the Garners Ferry Road location has built a trustworthy rapport with me; so much so that even after moving out of the area, I traveled past my now closest Firestone to continue patronizing the Garners Ferry location. Charlie, Bobby, Al and Melvin has added to my confidence in the staff at this location. These gentlemen have treated me with integrity, have been thorough about the condition of my vehicle comma and has successfully made the repairs. My overall experience was good. However, I asked that the best tire from my existing set be returned to me so that I could have it mounted as a full size spare. I got home and there was NO tire placed in my trunk. Had it not been raining so hard I would have returned to the store to retrieve it. However, I will make sure the next time I go back over the specific requests I made prior to leaving the store instead of assuming that what I asked for was done.

On Sat, July 9th I was driving from WV to FL when my tire started to blow out on I-77 in Columbia. I pulled off safely and put on the spare tire. However, I needed a new tire in order to complete my drive to FL that night. A female, traveling alone, I drove to several tire service locations and all were closed. After all, it was a Saturday night at nearly 8pm. I saw this particular Firestone location and, even though it appeared closed (because it was), I stopped and got out to double check the store hours. When I saw it closed at 6pm that day I truly felt at a loss. As I went to walk back to my vehicle I surprisingly saw a gentlemen inside the store working at the computer. Not expecting him to even answer the door, I knocked simply to ask him if he could point me in the direction of any place open who could help me out. I'm sure reluctantly at first, he DID answer the door...but when he realized my situation, he dropped everything he was doing, invited me in, and checked the computer to see if a tire was in stock for my vehicle (which there was only ONE). Immediately, he asked for my keys and said he'd be glad to help!! I can't even tell you the RELIEF that came over me (and my husband who was helplessly sitting in Florida concerned for my safety!). Within one hour, he not only installed a new tire, but also reinstalled the spare, and did a complete courtesy check at no extra charge! Just a reminder that this now put him there 3 hours after closing time...on a Saturday night...undoubtedly sacrificing time with his family to help me!! Now THAT is amazing character right there. You need to know that the Store Manager, CHARLIE BROWN, at the Garners Ferry Rd location in Columbia, SC FAR surpassed going above and beyond!! This man made it possible for me to safely finish my drive to Orlando that night, with all confidence that everything was in great working condition with my vehicle. He was not only a true professional who offered superb Customer Service, but an honest man with a HUGE heart. I have only been to a Firestone one other time, years ago. But because of Charlie Brown, you have gained AT LEAST two loyal customers for life...me and my husband. I say "at least" because we have already spread this experience like wildfire with our friends, family & social media. I only wish we lived closer to Columbia to support that specific location! Please acknowledge this man however you possibly can and use him as an example of how every store should be managed!!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my experience! In health, Katie

I went a week ago, I did not make an appointment. I asked for an oil change and a fluid check/trip check since I am currently out of town. They estimated two hours, which is fine. I walked around with my kids and went back and sat in the office for another hour and fifteen minutes. My car was a mess with the paper and plastic, my tire psi was off and I had to fix it myself, they didn't removed my previous sticker for next service date and hastily slapped the new one in the center of my windshield. Otherwise the men working were very nice and considerate by parking my car in the garage so I could load my kids and leave since it was raining that day.

I work across the way, and my co-workers go to this Firestone and recommend it to me. Justin and Mrs. Stephanie served me and help me get the best deal on all 4 tires for my truck. They even went out of their way to getting the specific tire for me and had a team member get them. I couldn't be more happier with the service got and in a timely manner! I had 4 tires, oil change and an alinement done on my Caddi this week, the Sales Rep was wonderful the tires I requested were sold to someone ahead of me, so I was given an upgrade on the tires that were put on my car! Charlie was wonderful letting me know what was going on, and explaining each issue as it came up! This is the second time I have gone to this store and both times I was amazed by the Customer Service I received!

I came in for 1 tire to be changed and was confronted with all the extra issues that were not tru...my oil wasn't checked neither were other fluids.. I will never return to firestone.. I heard they gave terrible service..next time going with other customers reviews!!!thumbs down

I went for an oil change that was done fine but whatever they did when they put fluid for my wipers it wont spray , i talked to the manager and he pretty much said i would have to pay when in all actuality it was working before i went

Manager Charlie at the Garnersferry Road location seem to always answer the phone with a smile which is also evident at the counter. Charlie has built a staff exhibitss great customer service and does exceptional work. Per Charlie's counsel, I will be returning to have the tire rod and bushings replaced on my vehicle as well as an alignment shortly.

I have taken my car to Firestone on Garners Ferry Road several times to have my oil changed and tires rotated. When I am ready for new tires I will certainly buy them from Firestone. The staff is very courteous they do everything they can to get you in and out in a timely manner if you don't have an appointment. Being a female I trust them whole heartedly to provide the finest service. The technicians are very knowledgeable and you see the same techs the next time you take your car so that says a lot about the company.
