We had a flat tire while driving to our vacation spot, and this Firestone location squeezed us into their schedule just before closing. We were driving on a donut so we’re grateful we didn’t have to risk further driving 200 miles to our vacation spot. Firestone went the extra mile for us!

This location does not care about your personal time. They do not honor appointments or reservations you make for tires. They find ways to make you hate them.

There were no appointments available at the time of dropping off my vehicle. I believe it was Chris that informed me if I could leave the vehicle with them, he would try his best to fit me in. Not only did they fit me in but my vehicle was ready by the end of the business day. My work vehicle that I highly depend on was serviced and inspected to a T, with cleanliness and a timely manner that exceeded my expectations. This is not my first time dealing with Chris, Harbsiom Firestone, or their staff. This establishment is always run with excellence when I bring my personal or work vehicle. All employees I deal with run a clean, calm, collective, and customer-oriented facility. With that being said, everyone I know from family to business partners trust in this store. From my high school best friend in Greenville to my stepfather living in Leesville. They all go out of their way and trust no one else with their vehivle except Chris and his Firestone staff. My vehicles are my livelihood and this facility does their best to treat it as their own as well. They not only service but they proactively inspect and treat for future or upcoming issues as a preventative maintenance measure. I highly appreciate/recommend the time and efforts of the management as well as team of the Firestone Auto Care of Irmo and Harbison blvd. Thank you Brett D. McGee

I get to firestone in harbison at 11 am Saturday dec 9th for my appointment. I’m getting a full vehicle inspection, oil change, tire alignment and rotation. I’m waiting there and my truck is ready at 1:30 pm. They tell me the couldn’t do the alignment because of rust build up and if they did there may be a part that could break. So I said ok o will fix it another time and left. As I’m in traffic trying to get back to my house I hear the front right tire squeaking. Firestone said I was good on all my fluids and break pads and everything. So at that moment I check the tire pressure from my dashboard ( front tires are at 29 and 26 while rear tires are 30 and 31) so I call back and let the guy who answers the phones know of my issues and ask if they are supposed to ensure my tire pressures are correct and full and he said yes they are supposed to do that. So I take my vehicle back in at 2:30 pm. And he puts me in the computer for a free brake inspection an alignment recheck and a TPMS reset. At around 430pm my truck is ready again and they tell me they did the alignment except for the camber and casters because you need an aftermarket part installed to fix those which they invoiced at $259.76 each plus tax. And they also tell me I need new brake drums on the rear and my front breaks are fine. But when he did the invoice for them he put new pads and rotors for the front and new drums and shoes on the back totaling $844.69 with tax. Again because they said they were fine before I told him I would fix that another time. I leave and when I get into my truck and turn it on the tire pressure light comes on and none of my sensors will show me the tire pressure so I walk back inside and tell them of the issue and Chris tells me the mechanic said the right rear pressure sensor wasn’t working. I tell them it was working fine before as Chris is pulling up an invoice on the computer totaling about $130 for a new sensor. Another mechanic asks for my keys and says he will fix it. About 5:15 pm rolls around and I get my keys back they say it’s fixed and I leave. Check the tire pressures to ensure they work and the sensors all read 36 psi. On the door to my truck it says I should keep them at 30 psi. As I’m driving to a clients house I realize my rear brakes are making the grinding noise similar to the noise made when breaks are completely worn. There was no noise before, not even a squeak from the rear. Somehow my breaks go from good in the morning to completely worn out in the evening. So going to firestone to get my truck fixed took an entire day, I spent $60 (surprisingly) and my truck is in worse condition then it was when I first got there.

Took one hour on the rack to fix a flat tire. Technician was not well qualified or lacked motivation. Vehicle was returned with the following issues; spare tire returned to storage area but not properly secured, wrong air pressure in tire, grease on wheel and rear deck lip, tire not refilled with nitrogen. Had to make two return trips to remedy all of these issue. Sad.

Horrible and sales manager very rude , unprofessional and mentally deranged... don’t go unless you liked being lied to and screwed around on your time. I sat there for almost 4 hrs for tires and an alignment. Sat in the lobby only to have dumb jerk call me on my cell phone , while sitting there. Poor communication on their part not to know I’ve been there all along....total waste of time!!!!

I needed a valve cover and gasket, which were priced out to me separately. When the technician discovered that the cover came with a gasket, the extra one was taken off my bill. I admire honesty and highly recommend this shop.

I had an appointment to put 3 tires on my car at 10. I didn't get out of there until 12:30! What is the purpose of having an appointment if I am going to have to be there for 2 and 1/2 hours? I was very upset about having to wait for so long.

I use Firestone regularly for oil changes: because all 3 of our vehicles are on their tires, I get the bonus of free rotations. We usually use the key drop box and leave a vehicle overnight after scheduling a service appointment: that way we don't have to get up early to take it in. Very convenient, and there are always online service specials and tire sales.

Purchased a Bridgestone Portenza set of tires from Firestone to replace a great set of Michelin's that had simply wornout. The price difference overall was about $150 savings and I decided to give the Bridgestone's a try. It was also my first experience with Firestone stores. Picked up the vehicle at the time promised and drove out on the new Bridgestones. Initial impression was unsatisfactory as TPM warning signal continously went off with excessive road noise present. Stopped at a gas station on my way home and checked the air pressure. All four tires was seriously under inflated with ~25 lbs of pressure instead of 38 recommended. Properly inflated the tires but the TPM system continued to signal warnings intermittently. Issue was corrected by resetting TPM system per automobile owners manual. Tires continue to exhibit excessive road noise and I regret having purchased Bridgestone knowing that Michelin would have been a better choice. One tire has already blownout after hitting a small pot hole. It was replaced under "Road Hazard" that I purchased. The spare tire, jack and handle were not placed back into the trunk and properly stowed by Firestone. Overall, my experience has been with Firestone one of disappointment each occasion. The product I purchased is poor quality. The service is marginal with inattention to details and lack of consideration.

Nathan was great. They were short handed due to an emergency from another employee having to leave. They were fast, kept is updated about the process with our vehicle and made sure we were prepared to leave. I don't trust anyone with my car. I do all of the work myself. However, I live in an apartment now and cannot do the messy work anymore. So I am glad I trusted firestone with my oIL change. I also bought my tired from them, which they checked while we were there. I will defenitly be going back again.

Upon getting there they were busy but I was told they would get right on it and have me ready by the time I needed to leave. Excellent customer service and communication.

In the past I've had very good experiences at the Firestone location in Harbison. My last visit on Oct. 8, 2015 seemed to take a long time. Maybe it was because Columbia SC had just experienced their 1000 year flood. But this didn't seem evident at the time. I drove in the day before hoping to get an oil change and fluid check but their parking lot was packed. I decided to call and make an appointment. I showed up on time for my 11am appointment and asked for a oil change, fluid and brake inspection and to find out what belt was squealing on start up and why. The representative was friendly and patient. He quoted a price of $25. Which included a coupon discount that I did not have or even mention. I thought that was good business practice and classy! That is reason enough to return. Bottom line is that it took an hour for them to move my vehicle into a bay. Another hour later a different rep told me that everything was fine and finished. I asked about the belt squeal which is what had originally prompted the appointment. The rep looked confused and said she'd go ask the mechanic. She returned and said all the belts are fine, no problems. I said that there is a loud squeal on startup which is getting worse. She said "he didn't hear a squeal but they're only $100 each to install." "We can replace them both if you want." I told her I wasn't going to replace something that wasn't broken. Especially bother belts! But I would like to how I could stop it. She ran back to talk to the mechanic. Thirty minutes later the mechanic came and told me that he thought that rust was causing the squeal, so he lubricated the area and it had stopped. I thanked him and paid the agreed amount of $25. I got in my vehicle and held my breath as i turned the key. Silence! I smiled and was suddenly okay with the 3 hours I spent waiting. The next morning however, I turned the key and was once again greeted with the very loud high pitch screech of the belt. Sorry neighbors! All in all I think they had an off-day because I've had excellent service here in the past.

I arrived at Firestone located at Harbison Mall in Columbia, SC and the store manager, Chris Whitehead, greeted me and got my car in immediately. My check engine light was on and I did not know why. Chris kept me updated throughout my visit by checking with me multiple times. He took the time to show me the codes that my car sent back after it was checked and explained each one to me so that I was able to understand since I do not know anything about cars. He was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. I will go back to Firestone for my next visit.

I made an appointment online for a 2 pm oil change that I would be waiting for. It took 10 minutes to get checked in and was told it would be 45 minutes to on hour. At 3:30 my vehicle was still in the parking lot untouched! I did not have time to wait another hour or better so I asked for my keys and left. I will advise all my family and friends to go elsewhere

I used to like this Firestone not only for the closeness to my house but because of the good service I received in the past. Last week I took my vehicle in to get new brakes put on. when I received it back the brakes were pushing almost all the way to the floor. I called the store and explained to them what it was doing and they said it shouldn't be doing that to bring it back in. Well, I brought it back in for them to fix it they said they did but then when I picked it up a second time its still doing the same thing.

New tires in rear, rotation and alignment make the car drive like new. Employees were courteous and knowledgeable .While getting tires they also replaced one of my tpms sensors and reset the computer for under one hundred dollars. Will definitely use Firestone CAC again and refer them to anyone who needs auto service. You can tell the quality of service of a business by how busy they are. Ever bay was full and cars were waiting. I made an appointment. Once again, Great Job.

I recently went in for an oil change. While I was there, I asked the technician to do a basic diagnostic to determine the reason that my check engine light was on. After waiting for 3.5 hours in the waiting room with a screaming baby, my oil change was completed. At that point, I was told that the reason my check engine light was on was that I had a leak in my fuel line and that the whole fuel line and fuel pump needed to be replaced, a repair that would cost me roughly $750. I paid the diagnostic fee and oil change fee and left for a second opinion. The second mechanic that I visited came highly recommended by several of my friends. He examined the car and said that he saw no leak in my fuel line, nor any problem with my fuel pump. He DID however find a tube that had become unattached, that was causing excess emissions. The odd thing is that he said that the tube looked like it had been tampered with, and that it is highly unlikely that a tube of this short length and thickness would fall off by itself. I find it suspicious that the firestone did not find this in their diagnostic. The mechanic reattached the tube, and I have had no more issues with my check engine light. Firestone was pressuring me to spend $750 unnecessarily, AND did not find the true cause of the problem after I paid roughly $100 for diagnostics. I would not recommend Firestone to anyone and I will not return.
