Orange Advanced Auto Technician Job Description
So, what do auto technicians in Orange do? As an advanced technician at Firestone Complete Auto Care, your days will be full of all things car-related, from road testing and fixing vehicles to explaining technical terms to less car-savvy clients.
Advanced auto technician job responsibilities include fixing cars per manufacturer standards by performing services such as fuel ignition and electrical repairs, as well as brake and hydraulic fixes. Advanced mechanics also mentor their less experienced teammates, assisting them with hands-on tasks such as oil changes and battery installations. Most importantly, you’ll help support our brand’s commitment to delivering cars that are fixed right, priced right, right on time.
Requirements for Advanced Technicians in Orange
Wondering if you qualify for a Orange advanced technician position with Firestone Complete Auto Care? You must have five or more years of experience working on cars and hold proof of completion of a Vocational-Technical program in the mechanical field. Having a valid driver’s license at all times, combined with the ability to perform road tests on customer vehicles is a must. You will also need excellent reading, writing, math, and interpersonal abilities. An ideal candidate is also A.S.E. certified in at least five of A1-A8 (L1 counts toward the five, too). If you are not, you will have a maximum of two years from the date of your employment to comply with this requirement.
