What’s it like being an auto technician in Madison? When you join the Firestone Complete Auto Care team as an advanced mechanic, your days will be full of all things car-related, from performing repairs and test drives to explaining technical terms to less car-savvy clients.
Advanced auto technician job responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles to specifications by performing services such as fuel ignition and electrical repairs, as well as brake checks and A/C recharges. Requirements for Advanced Technicians in Madison
Wondering if you qualify for a Madison advanced technician position with Firestone Complete Auto Care? You must have five or more years of experience working on cars and have completed an automotive Vocational-Technical program. Having a valid driver’s license at all times, combined with the ability to test drive clients’ cars is required. You should also have good writing, math, reading, and customer service skills. A stand-out applicant also has A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1-48 (L1 counts toward the five, too). Lastly, you should be able (and patient enough) to mentor your less experienced teammates and educate non-mechanically-inclined guests about automotive diagnostics and complex services.
