Advanced mechanics in Mission have a number of responsibilities including fixing cars per manufacturer standards by completing services such as diagnostics and exhaust repairs, as well as brake and hydraulic fixes. Advanced auto technicians also train entry-level mechanics, assisting them with hands-on tasks such as tire maintenance and part installations. Above all, you’ll champion our brand’s commitment to delivering cars that are fixed right, priced right, right on time.

Required Qualifications for Mission Advanced Mechanics

Wondering if you qualify for a Mission advanced technician position with Firestone Complete Auto Care? You must have five or more years of experience working on cars and proof of completion of a Vocational-Technical program in the automotive field. A valid driver’s license combined with the ability to test drive clients’ cars is a must. You should also have good writing, math, reading, and customer service skills. An ideal candidate is also A.S.E. certified in at least five of A1-A8 (L1 counts toward the five, too). If you’re not, you’ll have up to two years from when you join the team to get adequately certified. If Mission, TX requires additional licenses, you must also obtain and maintain those. Lastly, you should be able (and patient enough) to train apprentice mechanics and advise non-technical customers about inspection findings and service recommendations.
