Advanced mechanics in Mission have a number of responsibilities including fixing cars per manufacturer standards by completing services such as diagnostics and exhaust repairs, as well as brake and hydraulic fixes. Advanced auto technicians also train entry-level mechanics, assisting them with hands-on tasks such as tire maintenance and part installations. Required Qualifications for Mission Advanced Mechanics

You must have five or more years of experience working on cars and proof of completion of a Vocational-Technical program in the automotive field. An ideal candidate is also A.S.E. certified in at least five of A1-A8 (L1 counts toward the five, too). If you’re not, you’ll have up to two years from when you join the team to get adequately certified. If Mission, TX requires additional licenses, you must also obtain and maintain those. Lastly, you should be able (and patient enough) to train apprentice mechanics and advise non-technical customers about inspection findings and service recommendations.
