First off, my service advisor Michael was great! Ashton was not helping me directly but he made conversation with me in the lobby and was very friendly. My technician, Jemahl, was super quick and stayed late to help me with no complaints. I've been a Firestone customer since 2004. I've dealt with locations all over Louisiana and Texas. More times than not I have had good experiences but the Desoto location raised the bar last night and gave me a PERFECT experience. It was about 6pm, I had a tire that was going flat, and needed quick service. I manage 12 Verizon stores in DFW and had to reach a particular location before 8pm. I called the closest two Firestone locations. (Grand Prairie location & the South Dallas location on Wisdom Rd) Both locations answered the phone with a greeting and immediately put me on hold before I said a word. That was pretty rude but I work in retail so I get it. They close at 7, they're probably swamped, and just want to get out of there as soon as possible. I called each location from two different phones and sat on hold with both for over 20 minutes. I've dealt with Firestone long enough to know not to show up at a location before calling. I figured one of them would get back to me eventually but nobody did. That's when I called the Desoto location. It's now about 6:30 and I'm officially stressing. Michael answered the phone and did not put me on hold. I could tell he was busy but he still made time for me. He verified that he had my tire in stock in case a replacement was necessary and offered to stay open late if need be. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to Desoto and arrived just before 7pm. Michael began quickly assessing the situation, set expectations for what actions he was taking next, gave me best and worst case scenarios, and got to work. He literally rolled my tire into the lobby and showed me the two nails causing the leak and explained how their positioning would more than likely affect his ability to repair the tire. This meant a lot because Firestone advisors usually don't dumb it down for the non-car savy folks like me. I have had multiple experiences in the past where I brought my vehicle in for a simple issue and before I know it I'm spending over $1,000 with very little explanation as to why. Firestone is really good at bundling urgent and non-urgent issues together and the average consumer doesn't feel comfortable debating with the "experts" about what can wait for later. But I digress... I was completely taken care of and back on the road within 30 minutes and I made it to my store just before 8pm. This positive experience will help me stay a loyal Firestone customer for another decade.

My Honda Accord broke down on my way home from Dallas, stopped on the way. Everything was excellent, Michael the manager was really helpful, even though it was a Sunday and they didn't have all the parts he was able to diagnose the problem and get the parts needed and got me on the road again under 4 hours, keeping in mind this wasn't a small fix. Thank you guys !!

All staff were a great help to getting my fixed correctly. I need someone to contact Mike at this location for him to explain the problems he had with Store #599573 in trying to coordinate why the problem wasn't fixed correctly at Store #599573. I will never return to the Allen TX location because I have had repairs not fixed and having to go to another location (DeSoto TX) for them to be fixed correctly.

I came in with my 2006 Hyundai Sonata for a 2pm appt for A/C performance check. My ac was running cool when I dropped it, it could be cooler but it was cool. After the check, I was told I needed just a small amount of freon. Not sure if there is a leak but possible. I decided not to have the A/C service. When I got into my car and turn my A/C on, the light hissing noise that I had before became louder and my AC did not blow cool air any longer. I was already on the road. I called back and spoke to Mr. Rod and share the situation with him. He told me to hold on so he can speak with the technician. He came back on the phone and said the technician told him all he did was just run the test and nothing else. I said ok, but my A/C is not blowing cool air any longer and its making a louder noise. He said "I am sorry sir." I said okay then. Just wanted to share that with you.

The knowledge of the technicians is great. Ashton Garrett found I had a bad starter box which was the reason my car did not start sometimes. He identified the problem, but since I am under warranty, the dealership did the work. This was after six months of nobody finding the issue. Thanks to Firestone, I feel a lot safer.

I was not very impressed with the quality of work done to my pickup. The wheel alignment done at Firestone (including 4 new tires) made my truck run worse than before I got new tires and an alignment. The truck now has a crooked steering wheel and way too much play which causes me to sway a bit on the freeway.

I used them and when I went to pick up my truck, my spare tire was thrown back in my truck. I had glass vases back there and the tire was on the boxes instead of back under the truck. After the correction was being made we found that my spare tire area was damaged with no fault of Firestone. Thank goodness the vases were not broken. I was recommended to seek a mechanic to fix the problem. When I got home and out of the truck the covering for the shoes was still in my truck on the driver side seat. I did not have a good experience. The Manager I believe did apologize and try to fix the problem.

I went to firestone and had to wait forever for anyone to acknowledge me, no one ever called to tell me my car was ready and then I never got the printout of the repairs my vehicle needed.

Set up an appointment the day before. When I was on the phone setting it up I was told the size tires for my truck were not in Stock but was told they would have them there in time for my service. So I dropped my truck off at 10 was told it would be ready by noon which was great since I was leaving to go out of town later that afternoon. At 10 min to 12 I received a call letting me know that they did not have the tires and that they would have to go get them????? This delay caused me to leave much later than I had planned. I was disappointed that this did not go as planned. Why tell me the day before that you would have the tires there and then 10 min before I am supposed to pick it up call me and say you do not have the tires?

I had concerns about coming to a large chain repair facility for fear of getting took to the cleaners. I came in with a noise problem not knowing what the issue was but afraid to keep driving. The counter guy in the blue shirt greeted me and told me that they would be right with me because their was a line of people waiting to get seen. I first was thinking about going elsewhere because they appeared to be busy. I finally got to the counter guy and explained my issue and he responded with more questions about my issue. He then told me it would be a charge to pinpoint my issue and it would include a test drive with a tech first to confirm the noise I heard. Mike then explained the process and insured me that his well trained guys would find the problem, take me out to my vehicle to review it with him or the tech, provide a written estimate with a fair price. They were extremely busy but I decided to wait and about a hour. Mike brought me out to the shop area and went over my car with me. Just as I expected they found more than just what was my concern. I walk back to the inside counter and he reviewed the services that I came in first for and then reviewed other issues that I was aware of including some maintenance things. I knew that it could be costly because I neglected servicing my car because of finances. It was either feed my 2 kids and put gas in the car to get back and forth to work or fix the car. Mike simply outlined what was the most important and what could wait until income taxes rolled around again. He made my day when he told me about the company card which I could get 6 months interest free if I was approved. I needed that option and it was a quick process. I was approved for $800 and was able to get the $312 immediate repairs made and a extra maintenance service done for $80. I was out the door under $400 with 6 months to pay it off. I was totally informed, educated and appreciated before leaving to pick up my girls. Now I have the ability to keep my car serviced with out thinking about where I will get the money.

As soon as I walked in the front door I was greeted right away and was immediately helped with my car. I feel as though they asked all the right questions and that they had a lot of knowledge on the model of my car. They had good prices and got the work done in a timely manner.

The last time I had went to DeSoto Firestone was in 2011 to get a complete brake job on my Toyota Corolla. First time for getting it done. They did a superb job!! Here it is 2015 and I take my car back because it was time, we'll past time to get the brakes done again, and sythetic oil change. Steve C and team were friendly, professional and efficient. They fixed my cracked back brakes, did my oil change and a little more work that was needed. They explained everything before completing the work. My car runs like a champion!! Thanks DeSoto Firestone team!!! Fantastic service!! See you in two months for my tires.

We normally use the dealership. Firestone met competitor's pricing on the basics, but said the vehicle needed very expensive parts, therefore didn't complete the service we had originally requested.

My brake lights were out. After they found the problem,which was a bad connection. they charged $60.00 for some grease. So, I'am out of $120.00 for 20 min. work. I did not mind the $60.00 for the finding of the problem, but to charge a 12 year customer for some grease.

I received disgusting and incompetent treatment from the manager T. Walker, no service at all was given. I came in asked for service, sat 4 hours, the manager stood at the desk the entire time, never gave me any update the entire time, and when I finally asked informed me not only was work not done or started, but parts had no been ordered as I was previously advised. Complete and total disrespect of time, and when I called back,T. Walker got defensive instead of again giving any customer service, you never argue with, and disrespect a "customer".
