Constantly trying to scam customers into services/products which are not essential to the safe and continuing operation of the vehicle.

Mechanics are sitting idle I had to wait for more than 20 minutes to someone to pull my car in. Website and company says there are free services like free tire rotation, free allot of other stuff but if u ask them, they want to charge you, isn't that a ripoff. Mechanics have long faces and dead life attitudes. No smile, no welcoming attitude, no nice words, as if they are trying their level best to repel customers and the staff is working under slavery. Horrible staff. Never offer any free service what company wants them to offer.

First, I took my vehicle off on 4/29/17 at 8:00, in which I had an appointment for a diagnostic to find the oil leak in my engine. The store manager, Chad, came back saying my engine needed to be completely rebuilt/replaced, based off where the damage was. My vehicle had only 92K miles on it, so this seemed ridiculous, but, as I had been going to Firestone for the entire life of this vehicle (9 years), I chose to trust them. Chad recommended a shop to do the rebuild, they said they would take the engine out, take it to the shop, pick it up once ready, and put it back in. He said it would take 8 days, so I would get it back the next Saturday. He specifically told me for the rebuild and labor ONLY my costs would not exceed $4,200 (and some change). I stressed if this would be the max price, as I could not afford the job to go higher, he assured me this would be the maximum cost to me. So I left my vehicle with them and went to get a rental. I had not heard anything all week, which I assumed was fine, and I called them on Friday 5/5/17 to see what time I could get my vehicle the next day. Chad, the store manager, said they had not even started, had not even taken the engine out, nor begun the entire week, but he did not bother to even call me to let me know. If I had known, I would have driven my car all week and not had to pay for a rental. He said he would take $200 off my bill for this and now my total would be $4,000. He also said he would take the engine to the shop that day, and I would have it back by the next Wednesday 5/10/17 at the latest. I decided to check on the following Monday if they really did take the engine on Friday as they said. The shop said they had not received the engine yet. So I called and spoke to Chad again, and said don't touch my car, I would take it somewhere else. He said they took the engine out that day (Monday 5/10/17), but they decided to use a different shop than the one we discussed when I dropped my vehicle off. We did not talk about the new shop, and no one had called me to make sure this was okay with me, Chad just made the decision like it was his car being serviced. So Chad said at this point, Monday, I should still have it back by the end of Wednesday 5/10/17. I called the store on Wednesday 5/10/17 and spoke with someone named Rachel, who was very friendly and empathetic. I told her all of the above and she explained, in much more detail than I had received from Chad, what specifically was taking so long. She also apologized for my inconvenience, which Chad had NOT done, not once. She said it would be the next day, Thursday, 5/11/17 before my vehicle would be finished. I told her I wanted it ready by lunch time, she said she would call me the next morning to let me know. And she actually did call, which was the first time someone from that store had called me the entire 13 days they had my vehicle. She said it would be the end of the day before it was ready. Around 5, Chad called me to say it would be the next day. I called Friday 5/12/17 around 11:30 to see if it was ready. Chad said it was not. I asked what SPECIFICALLY was taking so long, he would not give me a straight answer. He said "you can come look at it yourself," and then he rudely said "he did not want to take this job in the first place." That statement had no bearing on the present, as he did take the job, he never told me he didn't want to take the job, and that did not matter in when I got my vehicle back. And when I continued to press for what it was taking my vehicle so long, he rudely said "you need to let me get off the phone so I can work on your vehicle." At this point, I told Chad that I was going to call the corporate office, and he said "okay." So I did, I told them all of the above, and I asked her to call the store and tell them I needed my vehicle back, and they needed to work on my vehicle that, at this point, had been there for 14 days, 6 longer than what they originally said, BEFORE they take care of the walk-in customers. She called the store and Chad told her they were giving me a "bunch of free parts to compensate." I did not care about the supposedly "free" parts, I did not ask for them. I just wanted my vehicle back. The corporate person told me she was forwarding all of this to the area manager and that he was going to call me the following Monday. Around 5:00 I called the store and spoke to Chris, who was very nice, very respectful, and very empathetic, all the things that Chad is not. He said the "free" parts were only because Chad did not price the ticket correctly and that they had to give them to me, since supposedly my vehicle needed them. He also actually explained in detail what was taking so long, and how the shop had messed up some of the rebuild and they had to keep going back. He said it would be Saturday by noon, as he was going in at 6 am to work on his day off to finish my vehicle. I called the store Saturday around 2:30 pm, as I had not heard from anyone, and was told it should be the end of the day before my vehicle was ready. Then I received a call around 5 from Chad to say that they still had to go back to the shop because the oil filter was re-built too small and the shop needed to fix it, but the shop was closed over the weekend so it would be Monday before they could take it back. I received a call on Monday, 5/15/17 around 5:30 to say my car was finally ready. I went to pick up my car, and Chad checked me out, with no apology nor empathy for having my vehicle for 17 days for a job he personally told me would take 6. I could not believe what I was seeing on the ticket, how completely dishonest and sneaky he had priced this ticket to show. Keep in mind, my original price with ONLY rebuild and labor was $4,200, and with the $200 off, my total was going to be $4K. Chad had arranged this ticked to cover all of the "free" parts at their prices, had reduced the labor, and had fixed it to show a discount of $641 for "rental reimbursement." This was completely dishonest as he was trying to show that he gave me a rental car discount, when my total still showed the original $4K from the beginning. He was so worried about covering his ass that he priced this ticket so dishonestly to make it look like he did a favor for me. He did not. The area manager never called me, so obviously I do not matter as a customer. Although I have spent thousands at Firestone over the last 9 years, the ONLY thing I will go back for is alignments and rotations, since I bought the lifetime package when I bought my tires. I will NOT spend any more of my hard-earned money at a place that treats customers like they are trash. And the fact that the area manager never followed up is just proof of why managers like Chad can get away with all of that crap, since the are manager doesn't care any more than the store manager does.

After taking my vehicle for its alignment check, since they didn't do it when I bought my tires, I was billed for the alignment without authorization for work. When I asked for the printout of the before and after messurements, I was told that their printer was down. I asked if the technician could write the stats down and when I arrived to pickup the information I was told that they just needed ink for the printer and they were in the process of installing it and it will take a few hours. the staff was not rude but did look as if they were embarrassed by the situation. With this experience, I am not confident in the work done on my vehicle or if they even checked for potential issues that need repair as I requested.

I have been going to this location for a while now. I have always had a good experience with Chad and his staff. I have recommended them to many friends who've all said the same. I believe that customer service gets lost in this day and age, so having that is something worth complimenting. Thank you for your above and beyond customer service and for always treating me with respect.

Service was good. I was a little disappointed because when you schedule an appointment & they know exactly what you are coming for but yet all the parts weren't there, they had to go get the last tire, really????

On Saturday, I came in asking for new tires for my car. I understood the need to wait but after more than 4 hours waiting, I was asked to select tires to replace the ones on my car. After another wait, I was told the tire that I had agreed to purchase was not in stock. I was assured that it would be picked Sunday and I would be called to come in. I never received a call so I called and was told that they usually have someone during the week to handle the pick-ups so that was the reason I had not received a call. I was told to expect a call back which I never received. On Monday, I took my car to another dealership who was able to provide a loaner car until my tires came in. I was very disappointed with the service from this incident.

I've used this location for several things, including a state inspection and an oil change. In fact, I've gotten my oil changed here twice. The first time was fine and only took about an hour at most. Unfortunately the second oil change took well over two hours and even then was only completed because I kept calling. I was told "it will be about another half hour, we'll call you," but an hour and fifteen minutes later I had yet to receive a call. Same story with the state inspection. I was told "it will be about another half hour, we'll call you," so I called myself after forty-five minutes had passed and was told the same thing.

I originally started at the Firestone in Dallas because I stopped just for wipers. The manager came out, installed them. A week later, I received a follow up call about how they were working. I decided to give them business with my daughter's car. It is a 10 year old Ford, but only 60,000 original miles and before Firestone, only factory service. It started with a engine flush, an overhaul of the heating core. I told the manager to just look at the car and fix everything. I spent well over $1,500. In 2 weeks, something else was wrong. I went back to the manager and asked him why he did not fix everything? I was told that on my last statement, they had printed everything I needed to have done on the car. I went home and read my last statement and bill. I drove back to Firestone and showed him the last statement and he pointed to where they had stated everything my car needed to have done. I then pointed out to the manager, that if he would have instead really looked at my car, instead of just printing out the basic rules of what a 60,000 mile car needs, he would have noticed that out of the seven things writen that needed to be done, that Firestone had performed 5 in the past 6 weeks. No one was really looking for problems, just performing routine maintenance. I stopped going in Dallas, but gave the Firestone card to my son going to school in Stillwater, Ok. He was consistently oversold service. I have paid off the credit card and will not be back or recommend Firestone to anyone. You need to educate your store managers.

The mechanic didn't turn off the service engine light after oil change.then the mechanic said it was a check engine light. I went home and turned off the light using the owners manual. Also, I specified full synthetic and got synthetic blend.
