I did not have an appointment but I dropped off my car around 10am Sunday 4/15 for an oil change, wipers, and tire rotation. No time was given for when it would be completed but I assumed it would be an easy job and take only a few hours. Around 330pm I called for a status update since I had gotten no estimated time the car would be ready, just that it would be the next car in and should be ready before they closed at 5pm. At 417pm I got another phone call from someone named Steve saying the work had been completed but it was noticed that the car needed new front brakes. After putting the phone on hold to discuss the work needed with my wife I returned and said to proceed with the work. Steve told me it should take about 40 minutes and I could come to pick up the car then. I got my 2 year old ready so my wife could take me to get the car. On my way there at 456pm Steve called to ask if I was coming to get the car that he was leaving in 4 minutes whether I got there or not. I told him I was on Bloomfield Ave right down the street and I would be there in about 2 minutes. Steve then reiterated that I needed to get there because again he was leaving exactly at 5pm. I pulled into the parking lot just as a technician was driving the car out of the garage and onto the street in order to I assume test the brakes. I got out of the car and while walking to the door a technician who was outside asked if I was here for the Sentra and I said yes. I walked in the waiting room and was followed in by the same technician a minute later. He was very cold with me, barely uttered a word and was racing around crazily to I assume close up. He did not offer an apology for his rudeness on the phone, or for the fact that the car took almost 6 hours just to get into the garage to be looked at. He offered no explanation for what happened, or did anything to make me feel like my car was a priority, merely just a problem preventing him from being able to leave. I felt like it might not even be safe to drive the car since they were suddenly able to put front brakes on in about a half hour. That has never been my experience that it was an easy thing to be installed. While waiting for my invoice to be printed I noticed a business card near the card scanner that showed someone named Steve being listed as a manager position which if it is the same Steve I was speaking to then I am befuddled as to how someone in that position could treat a customer. When you are having a vehicle worked on that belongs to your wife who is transporting your 2 kids in it every day you want to feel confident and safe that you are a priority and feel like they will be better off now. It was so disgraceful in my opinion that I will not be returning to your shop ever again, regardless of what fix or solution you offer. I am just going through this survey to inform you how I was treated in the unlikely hope that you will do something about it so no one gets the same treatment I received. The communication throughout the process was poor. If the car was going to take the entire day I should have been informed at the start. To be clear that and the rudeness specifically from Steve are the 2 problematic issues that I dealt with that are the cause of me never returning to Firestone again.

I've been a customer of Firestone for over ten years and my experience on each and every visit has always been characterized as extreme satisfaction for the service and accommodations that were provided by the entire service team. In particular, the service advisor, Steve Castellano, is pleasant, trustworthy and is always on top of the job regardless of any challenges associated with completing my car repair in a timely manner. His manner in dealing with customers is remarkable and his professionalism is the reason that there are so many loyal customers who visit his store. If I am having car problems, I always start with Firestone because I know they will provide reliable and affordable service (not high pressure sales) the first time, every time.

My experience is always great with knowing The crew always work as a Team with Steve Castellano leading the pack making sure things go smoothly and jumping when needed to. I always have a great experience going to Firestone in West Caldwell with Steve Castellano providing excellent care, with a smile and more so being honest and being straight forward with any concerns with my safety of my vehicle. I always know and have that great feeling he gives 100% of his knowledge all the time. I would not go any were else to get my Jeep serviced. I was pleasantly surprised by the honesty and integrity of this shop. Most places will tell you that you need an alignment even if you don't need it. I was told that I did not need one. As a new female customer this was important to me that I was treated well. I will return and tell others about this great shop.

I used Firestone in West Caldwell, NJ last week and the overall experience was perfect. I showed up on short notice with a huge nail in my tire. They fit me in to their schedule, repaired the tire, and sent me on my way. They did not try to sell me on items I did not need for my car, which I appreciated. Great all around service!

Steve Castellano, he showed me professional performance and taking care of my vehicle if there was any problems he addressed it with me and we took care of it he made sure my vehicle was done on time he makes sure if something's not right he will explain it to me and make sure I understand it and everything will be taken care of and my vehicle will still be done on time what he promised

I stopped in on my way to work one morning because my tire pressure light was on. The guys at the West Caldwell Firestone checked all four tires and added air because they were low. They did not charge me for this service. I thought that was a wonderful and kind thing to do.

Had 2 of my cars, which were purchased the same day, in for routine servicing, tire rotation on both and balancing on one. The work was performed ahead of the scheduled completion time, and.....in doing the complete check the technician found that the batteries which I had gotten a year earlier were not performing up to the specs, so both batteries were replaced under warranty coverage. I couldn't ask for better service, thanks to everyone at the West Caldwell center.

The service recommendations were completely absurd! Something along the lines of $160 for a new battery (purchased a high quality replacement elsewhere for 2/3 that cost). Also recommended new brake pads, which I did need, but they were asking at least double as what I ended up having them replaced for elsewhere. They also recommended I change the brake rotors because "they're rusted." Of course they have rust on them, they're exposed to the elements. Take a look on almost any car, the brake rotors have rust on them. The only reason to replace a rotor is when they warp, and you'll feel it when you brake! These guys did a great job at changing my oil and rotating my tires, but as far as their service recommendations, buyer beware!

Not a bad place to drop off you car and come back later. But I went for a simple battery change on my lunch hour and despite calling ahead and having an appointment time, I waited an hour before they started on my car and over an hour an a half total without being told up front that that would be the case.

Got my brakes done , sales person told me that I had to change brake fluid , not true ... Sales person had to make his numbers to get his bonus ... Never see me there again ....do not trust sales people

I use them to switch our 3 cars between summer and winter tires. Good job balancing them, mostly a good job setting tire pressures (admittedly I'm a nut about that) and their lifetime wheel alignment is a great investment.

A few months ago my car needed an alignment and so I was persuaded to purchase the Lifetime Alignment program, which I felt could be beneficial. Two or three months later I took my car back because my car continued to pull (I never felt as if the first alignment really made a difference), and was told the parameters were all fine. The car still pulls. This, I was told , is because the tires may be wearing unevenly, but why then wasn't I told this at the first alignment and before I purchased the Lifetime program. Now I feel as if I paid for a pair of shoes but only getting one.

Had a set of tires shipped to the West Caldwell store from Tire Rack and fitted to my 2013 BMW 328. They were fast and curtious. However at highway speeds the tires vibrated like crazy. Called the shop and got attitude. "you mean to tell me that you never got up to 45 MPH?" I told him that these are low profile tires and they're fine at low speeds but vibrate from 68 to 74 or so. It was only after I got out on the highway that I noticed it. I was told that it couldn't be the tires. Really? Took the car into BMW for a balance and rotation along with another unrelated issue. The service Manger told me that 1 tire had no weights on it and all 4 were out of balance. Car rides smooth as silk at all speeds. I will never return to this shop.
