Brought car in with appointment at 8AM Wed. 8/29/2018 on for 2 things: First was to have a rubbing/clicking noise emanating from my right front wheel when going around left hand curves investigated and fixed. Second was to have AC/heater blower motor pulled and cleaned out because I suspected it was clogged with debris from a mouse getting inside the cage and trying to make a nest inside. (This is something a shade tree mechanic can do on their own with the right tool, a few hours of their time, and watching some YouTube videos. But I don't have the tool and I didn't have the time so I decided to hire a pro to do it.) Blower motor was making loud low rumbling/vibrating noise that got louder the faster it spun. Evidence of shreds of insulation/padding material found in the cabin filter compartment suggested this and the suspicion was later proven correct when the mechanic pulled the blower motor and the cage was found to be full of the same said material. Got a call from the shop later that afternoon and mechanic was recommending that I replace serpentine belt (did not originally bring the car in for this). I agreed to this over the phone since the car has 67K miles on it and it had never been replaced before. The next day when I came to get my car they would show me the old/existing one and it was very obviously worn and badly cracking, so I've no problem with this recommendation to replace it and I'm glad they brought it to my attention. They also informed me that the heat/AC blower motor had gone bad due to spinning out of balance (because it was full of mouse nest debris) and that the bearing was ruined and so they couldn't just clean out the old one and put it back in but would have to replace it with a new one. Fine, I'll have to take their word on this. To this end I was informed they'd have to keep the car overnight because they had to obtain the correct part. OK, if that's the case then it is what it is. So ended day 1 with no car. On the afternoon of day 2 I was called and notified the car was ready for pickup. Total cost of all work done plus parts set me back around $750, no small chunk of change for a fan and a belt. But, this was when the problems began. Before even leaving the shop parking lot, upon first turning on the AC/heat system and cranking up the fan speed to test and listen to the new motor, I noticed that even on full speed, the new blower motor was not even putting out half the amount of airflow/blowing power as my old one. Clearly either the vents were still clogged/blocked with debris or they had used a new motor with inferior specifications compared to my original one. Additionally the new serpentine belt they installed began squealing/squeaking horribly if the AC was turned on every time the AC compressor would click on before I even drove the car out of the parking lot. If I actually attempted to drive the car with the AC on, it would screech so loudly you could hear me coming half a mile away. The noise emanating from the right front wheel (which had merely been something rubbing against the brake rotor when turning the wheel left and required no parts and minimal labor to correct) was the only thing that was fixed to satisfaction on the first try. Went back inside and customer rep and mechanic came out to look. Mechanic initially tried to say the noise was coming from the AC compressor and that he had not touched that part of the car (suggestion/implication being that the compressor was dying...nothing was wrong with it when I brought the car in and despite the new noise it was still working and putting out cold air). But obviously the new serpentine belt that was installed does touch the compressor pulley and it began to squeal every time the compressor kicked on putting additional load on the belt...It was very obvious to me that the noise was clearly the belt. I tried driving the car home and around the neighborhood a bit to see if the belt would just "break in" or "seat up" properly with some usage but it just got worse and worse. Brought car back into shop. Asked them to look at the compressor and belt, make sure the belt was right size and double check it was installed/routed around the pulleys properly and double check if all air vents had been properly cleared because of low cabin air output volume. Was told they would look into it and there would be no additional charge to look. End day 2 with no car. On afternoon of day 3 I received a call and was told that the squealing belt had been replaced with one of a different brand and that they had put in a different blower motor as well. I went to pick up the car and everything was finally working to satisfaction. The air output in the cabin is now at least as good as it was with my original blower. The new belt so far seems to be operating correctly and silently. They made it right and did not try to bilk me for any additional repairs/parts or labor. I am happy they made it right and it helped restore some of my trust and confidence. But overall the whole situation made me feel like I was being charged a hefty premium for inferior quality parts and that there was little to no quality assurance on the work initially done. I feel it should not have to be said that people expect replacement parts to perform like-for-like with their old parts. Initially I was feeling pretty put-out and suckered because I was out $750 for parts and labor and my car was objectively worse than when I brought it in. But they did make it right and so far there have been no additional problems. But what should have taken about 1 day or less stretched into 3 days without me having my car because of what I feel was Firestone trying to cut corners and save a couple extra bucks by using cheap/inferior parts to do the job the first time and hope the customer wouldn't notice. For $750 for a fan and a belt, I don't think I should have to go back and ask for quality parts with the proper OEM specs. I could have probably taken it to the dealer for that price but I had good experiences with both my car and my wifes car at Fulton Firestone in the past so I wanted to reward the guys there by continuing to give them my business. I'm sorry this happened this time but they made it right (albeit my confidence is a bit eroded by the whole experience) and that's what matters at the end of the day. Just wish they had done it right the first time and not cost me a third day with no car. The work I've had done at Fulton Firestone in the past has mostly been brake/wheel/tire related. Those experiences have been 5-star. This is the first time I've had the car in for anything "under the hood" and due to all the things above I can only give 3 stars for this visit. Yes they made it right but it was too easy of a job to have messed up to begin with for $750 and a shop with the words "complete auto care" in its name.

Contrary to the usual, it is always an absolute pleasure to visit this Fulton Md Firestone. I have never before had such absolute faith and trust in auto mechanics as I have in Tim especially and the rest of the crew. These boys are all the epitome of professionalism and have taken courtesy, respect and trustworthyness to a whole new level !!!! My comfort and needs are always addressed and respected while I wait for my vehicle to be serviced. I cannot remember in not so recent memory when or where I have experienced this level of service and felt this degree of unwavering trust. As always, Ryan and the team at Fulton Firestone provided quick and quality service. I took my 2012 Mazda 5 in for an oil change. Due to a last minute plan change I had to get out of there relatively quickly even though when I made the appointment I said that I would drop it off for the whole day. So, being the pros they are, they adapted on the fly and had me out of there by 10am after only getting the car at 9am. The only think I wish they would add would be a shuttle service so you could get a ride back to your house if you can't wait.

I stopped at the nearby supermarket and had a dead battery. They came out to give me a jump. While the jump got me on the road, I new the life of the battery was limited and they replaced the battery. My problem was that I had just bought some frozen food items and they provided exceptionally quick service that was greatly appreciated.

There has not been ONE time that I've had cause to visit the Fulton, MD location, that the guys' there haven't exceeded my expectations! And if they mess up or are wrong, they go above and beyond to keep me happy. Firestone is a great company; which is why I've used them on every one of my vehicles since 2006! The Fulton, MD location exemplifies this.

Probably best if you have a domestic vehicle or simple Honda/Subaru. I have used them due to extreme convenience but have not had much luck with them beyond a basic tire service. Think twice if you drive something with many sensors or complicated electronics. They have a tendency to Easter egg trouble shoot. Just save frustration and go to a specialist of the dealer. I know better, but like I said ... Convince...

I took my van in to have an oil change. I received a call back saying that my van needed brake pads and the rotors had no more room to be turned, were damaged and needed to be changed. I thought the pads might need to be changed but not the rotors. I have had problem rotors on other cars before and changed rotors on other cars before. My toyota van had none of the symptoms for needing rotors and they had never been turned but I couldn't come to the shop then and told them to go ahead and do the work and to keep the old parts. When I picked up the van, the rotors showed no damage and were perfectly fine and did not need to be changed. The brake pads could have lasted a little longer but could have also been in line of needing to be replaced so no problem there. But now my van pulls significantly to the right after having the pads and rotors replaced. I will have to take it to the dealer to have it realigned as I now only want to let Firestone do minimum repairs on my car. I believe they are pushing unnecessary rotor repairs as indicated by another persons post. I also had an air conditioner quit working on me on another car and took it to Firestone as they are in my neighborhood. They wanted about $300 more than my old mechanic wanted but I let them do the work as I can drop my car off and walk home. They did a good job, the air conditioner works fine. When I picked up my car I was able to negotiate $100 off as this was the diagnostic fee to tell me what was wrong with my car. My other mechanic would roll this into the repair of the car so I ask for that here. They were happy to do it but then said I got a really good deal even though I still paid over $200 more for the repair than I would have taking the car elsewhere. I am getting ready to let them put 4 tires on for me. The price is competitive but I am sure I will have to check my car's alignment after it is done and inspect very carefully every repair that is recommended. I am angry at myself for not going to look at the rotors before letting them change them even though I knew I had had no problems with rotors on that car.

The battery light came on in my car and I scheduled an appointment online for 3 pm and received a phone call from Ryan not more than 10 minutes after I scheduled and he suggested to bring the car in earlier just in case it was something that might take longer. I am glad that I did since I needed a new battery and alternator. They said that my car wouldn't be done until 5 or 5:30 (which was completely fine with me since I was planning on waiting for it at 3) but they finished it around 415. Everyone there is super nice and friendly and they do not intimidate you into buying

Desk service was very good the day of oil change. I called the next day because my wheel lock tool was gone and was told I probably lost it which was impossible since they had rotated my tires the day before. Not helpful and definitely not courteous will have to have mechanic remove my wheel locks at a cost to me. Not happy.

Took my 2013 Dodge Journey in for pads and rotors, and an oil change. Took it on the highway and it is shaking over 55. Took it back, at no charge, to be "fixed". Still shaking and now I have to take it to the dealership. The employees are very kind and helpful but the work is beyond sub par.

I have been going here for quite some time and every time, they charge me $100 just to tell me what's wrong. On top of that, today when I picked up my car, there was a recommendation for front and back rotors. They just put on new rotors 1.5 months ago for $900.00! Can they be trusted?

I used them about two weeks ago, when I discovered one of my "run flat" tires was flat. Initially thought I would have to replace the tire (or buy 4 non-run flat tires). But the technician was able to do a permanent tire patch. The manager was also quite helpful and accommodating, and the charge was unexpectedly reasonable. A great fix to what had started out as being a stressful Saturday morning!

My initial experience was great, then I noticed a few days later that two of my wheel lug nuts were not the originals and no explanation was given as to the switch out when I picked up the vehicle. I sent in my survey mentioning that I felt like the integrity of Firestone had gone down and questioned their practices. Ryan called me and explained the situation and asked me to come in so that he could get it rectified. I just came back from Firestone and Ryan replaced the lug nuts with ones that matched the originals. People make mistakes, but making a positive impact after the fact is why I rate Firestone Complete Auto Care of Fulton five stars, thanks to Ryan!

My vehicle is a 7 year old Equinox, (out of warranty). What I love about Fulton Firestone, is that the staff is very professional, they take their time to listen to my vehicle's issues and then once a diagnosis is back, they are very detailed in explaining the problem and possible solutions. They answer all questions and they are HONEST in their approach of what's needed or best to do on the vehicle. (For me that's important, since I am a 56 yr. old female that had very bad experiences at other places because other places all they want to do is take advantage and push on higher and many times unnecessary services). Once service is completed, the issue is resolved, never had to return for the same problem. The mechanics are definitely very knowledgeable and trained and certified. When it comes to prices, staff works with you in applying any and all discounts possible. While I many times had to wait at the office, the staff go out of their way, made sure on checking on me and making sure I was comfortable. (one time one of the Front staff lend me his cell phone charger to help me charge my cell). The fact that the waiting area is big, comforta and clean is a plus. I TRUST Fulton Firestone, and when it comes to major issues with my Equinox, (which it's not that frequent, since my Equinox is a great vehicle), I go to this shop without hesitation.
