What does it take to get an entry-level mechanic job in Iowa City with Firestone Complete Auto Care? First off, entry-level auto technicians are required to have a valid driver’s license, the ability to drive customer and company vehicles, and a natural inclination for problem solving. A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is also required. (Similar qualifications are accepted, but an A.S.E certification is required within two years of employment.) Prior auto repair experience and completion of a Vocational-Technical program are a plus, but they are not required!
