I drove from Athens, GA where I live to the Lawrencesville location two weeks ago (Sat. 2/17/18) to get work done on my Suburban. I had several hundred dollars' worth of repairs done including replacement of the universal joint. I was told there that my brake pads should be replaced soon. The invoice said this for the brakes (LF: 6, RF: 6, LR: 4, and RR: 4). At the beginning of the next week (Tues. 2/20/18) receive a call from Dee? saying that the brakes need to be fixed ASAP. I agree that I will come back as soon as I can. That Friday (2/23/18) my car randomly starts making race car noise as I'm driving towards Atlanta. Later, I realize that my muffler is hanging from my car. I also am notified by a friend that my tail light is out. I think the coming weekend would probably be a great time to get this worked on. On Tuesday (2/27/18) I make an appointment online for today (Sat. 3/3/18) and make a service request for brakes, lighting & bulbs, and oil & filter change, and "other" (to deal with the muffler issue which I believed related to work done on my car the other week). Yesterday (Sat. 3/3/18) I drop off my car and explain my issues to Dee? I tell her that I remind her that I need my tail light replaced and about the issue with the muffler. I told her I didn't think it was a coincidence that this issue occurred 6 days after my exhaust system was disassembled. She agrees that it is probably not coincidence and says that they will look into it. I take an Uber back to Athens for around $30 assuming that getting all these repairs will take potentially all day. Dee? calls me and says that the muffler issue is not related to any of their work because it was a weld failure. I don't know much about cars, but I went along with it (in hind sight, seems as if trying to skirt responsibility). She said that they had secured the muffler so it wouldn't hang as low and that the noise level would be reduced and that I needed to get that welded elsewhere. I get a call later in the morning saying that my car work is done and that I can come get it. I take an uber for $40 this morning (Sun. 3/4/18) back to the Lawrenceville store assuming that all of my service requests have been taken care of. I pay a bill of ~$56 and am shocked by how low it is (given that I was to have so much work done). I get out to my car and start to look over things. They had only done an oil change and hadn't worked on the brakes or changed the tail light (just noted on the invoice that the light was out which is something I clearly already knew). The invoice also said that my brakes were in the "green" (LF: 7/6, RF: 7/7, LR: 10/10, RR: 10/10). How could my brakes go from needed urgent repairs to being in great shape two weeks later? I don't appreciate being conned into getting unnecessary repairs. Basically, I paid ~$120 for an oil change. The muffler issue wasn't resolved either (as in pulling it up and securing it so it's not hanging) as I was assured it would be. I will never go back to this Firestone location. I have spent close to $2,000 at this location since the fall and don't deserve this level of incompetence and/or dishonesty.

This place takes the financial decision away from customers without proper discussion and notification. Won't be taking my vehicle back again. Overall customer service was good. Mechanic was horrible for their mistake!!!

unprofessional, more interested in going home than helping a customer. the tech that serviced my van, did not put my spare tire back in, said he didn't know how to do this. I arrived at 534 pm and was at first told they wouldn't have time to replace my tire. There were NO OTHER cars being serviced at the time of my arrival. The door to the business was closed and locked at 554 pm, a full 6 minutes before the posted close time. Yes you can guess my car was fixed and paid for by this time.

I was pleased with how was greeted at your store as well as the speed in which the store could get brake work done on my vehicle. However upon leaving the store, a problem arose with the job. There was a rotational banging that would occur when the brakes were applied to slow down. The sound started after my second time of applying the brakes. I needed to pick up my son from his school and call the shop. Again I was just in a very kind manner just to bring my vehicle back to the shop. And this is where the problem began. The mechanic blame the noise on supposedly a transmission issue. A salesperson and the general manager agreed with the technician even though the technician had not heard the banging noise when the car was brought in but heard it when I brought it in the second time. Unfortunately on that same day we had car trouble with another vehicle. The shop where we had our other vehicle said they would look at our van for a second opinion of what we thought was going on. They agreed there was a problem with the rotor and that it either needed to be turned or replaced. When I return to the shop the general manager offered to replace the rotor free but I was left feeling stupid and that I didn't know what I was talking about and the new rotor did fix the problem of the clunking noise with the brakes. It was frustrating to have to bring my vehicle to the shop 3 different times in 2 days and to be treated as if I didn't know what was happening with my vehicle. I felt like I was even taking a risk to bring it back to the shop after getting the second opinion because of the tone of the employees at the shop. I know they were frustrated with the situation and the general manager even said that she would make it right the second time I was at the shop. But I had to come back a third time to actually make it right. I have mixed emotions about recommending the store to others because the work was finally done right but a lot of effort on my part an uncomfortable conversation on my part.

The problem with Firestone is that I kept coming back in because of the same problem, "my tires". They don't fix the problem. I have family with new cars n new tires like me...they don't have tire problems but I do. The problem is that I'm with Firestone and they are with Kauffman. I quit Firestone! I need to become a member of Kauffman.

It is very evident that customer service is part of the culture throughout this company, especially this store. We moved up from Florida a little over a year ago and I was relieved that after one visit, I knew who my car care professionals were going to be in our new city. They get mad if you don't want to get the upsale. Sales associate John couldn't even thank me for my business and offer me a good day after I paid the 300.00 invoice for my car repairs; because I was not interested in buying 4 new tires for my Buick. It doesn't matter if I want to get tires; I spent my money at your establishment for repairs. You are suppose to go over my invoice and thank me for my business. I won't be back.

My family and I found ourselves stranded and in need of repair 300 miles away from home. The Store Manager Clayton Culler and his team did a great job of replacing our alternator quickly. The level of customer service from Clayton was phenomenal! I have never been to a Firestone Auto Care center, but you won over a new customer.

I have been going there for years but there has been some management turnover. I got a battery installed back in October of 2014 and noticed a few months later that my truck had problems starting and finally around Christmas it wouldn't start. I had another mechanic look at the situation and as it turns out the person who installed it didn't screw in the connectors (on the battery) properly. I would give some grace if it was more of a sophisticated installation but how could a basic mechanic not get this right? That is something a mechanic should know the first week of school. I will probably not be back.

besides a couple things it is ok. what needs to improve is to not leave smudges of oil inside the car ie. shifter, steering wheel, door etc, 2nd not consistent on finding items that need attention

I came in to get new tires they found out the brakes was bad they so called fix the brakes it messed up the day after I took my car home. I took it back they gave me a rental. The next day got my car back still wasn't working right took it back finally they fixed it now just 60 days later my brake light is back on I'm so done with firestone.

i use the Buford hwy location and customer service didn't meet my expectation. I brought my Toyota corolla and mechanic said that the old oil is too low and they don't want to change the oil. they said I need the put oil before they change the oil. so I went to my local car automotive and theres no problem for them changing it. this was November.
