Bad customer service and dishonest service advice. I will not be using Firestone again for any of my tire needs.

My snow tires, which were in the back of the car (very visible) were suppose to be put on, and my spring tires taken off. Instead, my spring tires were balanced and aligned, which is 100% the opposite reason of why I came in. Instead of being very apologetic, I was charged $195 for my spring tires to be aligned and balanced, when they were just meant to be taken off and my winter tires put on. I left my car at firestone all day, and when I had the call to pick it up, I paid, assuming what I had asked had been done, but when I got to my car I noticed the winter tires were still in back of my car. I got close to no apology, but instead got $60 back of the $195 I paid for a service I did not request, and on top of that had to pay for the service I originally came in for. Never in my life would I recommend or even speak highly of Firestone, and although this is the worst issue I have ever had with the Firestone in Stamford, it is certainly not the first problem.

Initially i went for oil change and Timing belt change. They took three days to complete the work instead of the promised two days. next day morning my car has a check light which indicated no coolant oil, I called them back and they asked me to tow the car and next day they checked the work and said there was an bubble formed in the oil flow hence the check light (this is a lie as they didn't fill the coolant oil after the oil change i realized this after a couple of weeks). They delivered my car and from next day there was a squeaking sound from the belts, I took an appointment on saturday and left the car, they didn't touch my car till Sunday evening, I went in sunday evening they said they checked it they need more time to figure it out (They didn't touch my car, it is same parking spot where i left with the same odometer reading), i asked i will take my car please reschedule my appointment, they gave me an appointment next Saturday, they checked the car and told me there is issue with alternator belt and tensioner. Aldo (representative) told it can wait, i said okay i will change it later, he called me again in 5 minutes and said it has to be done right now it is a big issue, i believed and got the work done same day. he said there will be some noise for two to three days and it will go off, and i heard a whining noise from my car but it persisted, i took appointment again and Aldo checked it told me that Steering pump needs to be replaced(He verified all the power steering components and said everything is fine except the pump) i asked for time and i eventually found that the hose connecting the power steering oil box and the pump is twisted so that the flow of oil to the steering pup is stopped and it makes the whining sound(I strongly feel the Firestone personnel twisted the hose intentionally) This time there is scratch on my rear bumper too. I made hose straight and the whining sound is gone in a second. I paid for the premium oil change and the invoice says that next oil change should be done after 7500 miles but the sticker on the car asks to change it after 3000 miles, I'm not sure if they used the regular oil or premium oil, I realized this now and i dont want to take risk of taking the car back to them.

Ryan the new store manager was great! Explained everything and said I did NOT need new brakes. Honesty and trustworthiness are very important traits and he has them in spades!

Having your car repaired while your 1300 miles away can be pretty difficult that is unless you have Joe helping you get it done and that’s exactly what Him and the guys did - Extremly happy with this experience and if ever needed again I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else Once again Thanks Joe and Co.

As I finished the survey I realized I had another thought. I had to wait more than 3 hours for my repairs. Since I had no way to get home I had to wait the whole time. Perhaps you could arrange a ride home for a nominal fee of perhaps $5.00 (for the driver) to an out of work vet or student.

Made appointment for simple alignment. Came and informed that I am in a rush. About hour later. I have being told that car is worked on. But it was still outside. 2 hours later. I have being told that car is being worked on. Same deal it was still outside!!!! even my car was 2nd whole time for something it takes about 20 min!!! 2.5 hours later they have rolled my car in in 15-20 min it was done. They demanded $180 for service without providing me printout! After I insisted on seeing it front desk guy told me that printer is broken out of ink and they can't provide it but he said "trust me you will feel difference!" . I kept insisting and what a surprise. They just got it. It was all in RED! Worse then when I went in!!! I have asked to fix it and they now told me that they can't! Store manager told me that I do not have to pay and I should get out!!! I am not setting my foot in this place and warning everyone else not to as well!

Took my car there for snow tire change over. They did a fine and reasonable job, though I thought the price was kinda high at $145 or so. They could have informed me about tread status of the times I put on and the ones I took off, but they didn't. THen they recommended a number of service needs, like brake fluid flush, radiator flush, and a belt replacement. All of those have empirical tests that "prove" their need (test strips, etc), but they showed me no evidence of need. They didn't even show me the "dirty" air filters they recommended replacing, nor the "cracked" belt. Because they could have shown me proof, but didn't, I am left to wonder whether those things were really needed. I have had great experiences with other Firestones in the past, so I thought I'd try this one.

I brought my car in 2 days ago for new tires and was very pleased with the service and prompt attention to my car. I also would like to mention that I dealt with Patrick and he was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely recommend this place and Patrick to anyone looking to get anything done to their car.

My car was towed there on Friday night they had it completely fixed by Saturday so that I could get to my next destination. I started in North Carolina and had to be in Massachusetts for Sunday morning the guys in the Stamford location were awesome thank you. FYI I Drive a Jaguar and it's not easy getting parts to fix that car.

I was quoted a price over the phone and when I came in to complete the service none of my information was stored and I was then offered a much higher price, however the over the phone quoted price was honored. Service was completed in a timely manner.

I was dropped off at the service facilty after being assured that repair for a burst "T" connection for cooling system hoses would be completed that day - The issues I had were not properly/accurately diagnosed - Mechanic who worked on my car noted a "t" connection had burst - He did not even notice missing serpentine belt - When I questioned him, he said the belt was there - The car was not removed from the service stall, but he could not find the belt! - The water pump was seized and should have been noticed with initial diagnosis - Mechanic added coolant to power steering reservoir! - I had to have the power steering system pulled down twice to remove the coolant! The service management representative repeatedly said he could "smell that the head gasket is blown" - He assured me that he has experienced this before, that he knew what a blown head gasket smells like and that it smells like the head gasket was blown! I lost confidence in their ability to properly diagnose and repair my problems, so I had the car towed by AAA to my employer location in Maplewood, NJ - I checked the oil ( no water in it) - I ran the car and found no steam coming out the exhuast - I brought it to a trustworthy service provider near me - He replaced the water pump and replaced the contaminated power steering system. There was no blown head gasket! I called the customer service line tonight and I am currently awaiting a response.

I pulled in last night after having a flat tire on the merit pkwy (nightmare) with a toddler in the car. I managed to get it changed but didn't get through traffic to Firestone until 15 minutes before they were closing. I was frazzled and hoping they could help me out. They didn't even hesitate, the technician was eager to help even though it was after closing time. I walked away with two new tires. It MADE my day after all that had happened. Thank you for taking the time! I am now a customer of yours for a LONG time.

The Stamford East Main St location rocks. Not only are they friendly, but they are efficient and quick. I prefer them over my dealer and the competition in the area because they are so easy to do business with. I am a working professional so it's important that I not wait around. Try them out!

My recent visit to Firestone was for a Tire replacement. The price was more than fair. The service by far exceeded my expectations. These guys actually care about the customer and value my business no matter how small a job. Very pleasant cheery and happy. Always smiling. Went in there to get my emissions test done on my 1999 Miata. The place near my house I went to initially said they couldn't do it because my car was too low to the ground, and told me I'd have to go to Norwalk to a place with an in ground dyno. I called Firestone, and Pat said he wouldn't be sure if they can perform it, but was willing to try. Sure enough the tech was able to back the car on, didn't cause any damage, and I was out of there in about half an hour. I've worked as a service adviser at a few dealerships, so I'm familiar with dealing with the public in an automotive environment. Pat was honest, friendly, and helpful. He's an asset to the team. I had recently done a service from Stamford center. The complaint was made for screeching sound . There was tyre change done, break system was changed. BUT still the screeching sound persist and its very disturbing. this puts me in basic doubt of your capability of identifying the problem.

I brought the car in for a recurring problem where my Firestone-provided tires are losing air, and a tire monitor light keeps reporting a fault. I had just brought the car in for the same thing a few weeks earlier. I never really had the sense that the customer rep. understood the problem, or cared to understand the problem. I was just "processed." After waiting, they had recommendations for brakes (which had just been done by another reputable shop) and all new tires (which are currently fine). The problem I brought the car in for? Still there.
