I have been a loyal customer of the Southington, CT Firestone store for the past 15 years. After my recent experience I will not be returning and I will be strongly advising others to choose another service facility. I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced by Firestone and was given a cost breakdown of all of the ‪parts and labor‬ that would be required for the job. When I received my bill it was substantially higher then I was originally told. I was never informed that the cost was going to increase while I sat in the waiting room for hours. I had to return to Firestone because the new brakes were making a very loud grinding noise and it didn't sound like it was safe to continue driving. I took the car back and they took a few hours checking the brakes and they couldn't figure out what the issue was. They decided to put some grease on some of the brake hardware and amazingly the noise went away...for about a month. I called Firestone on 11/12/18 (mon) to make an appointment to have my breaks checked again because they are still making a loud grinding noise and the break job is covered under Firestone's warranty. I made an appointment for 11/18/18 (sun) at 9am. Sunday morning comes and I'm the first one in the door. I had to have my wife and my three kids follow me there because the Firestone employee I spoke with when I made the appointment requested that  leave the car so they have adequate time to properly fix the breaks as he knew I have been there a few times for this issue and it is still unresolved. I get up the desk to hand the service manager Dennis my keys, only to be rudely told that whoever I spoke with on 11/12/18 never entered my appointment into their system. He then told me that he has a lot of cars and that he most likely couldn't get to my car but he would try. I left my car in hopes that maybe a miracle would happen and Firestone would come through and take care of a good customer who did everything right on their end. But no, they didn't touch my car and the service manager had a very rude and unfriendly demeanor when I returned to pick up my car that sat in their parking lot for almost 8 hours untouched. I got the impression that the service manager either didn't believe that I had actually made an appointment prior or that he just didn't care. Never have I been treated so poorly at this location. I do have an appointment to return in a few weeks for them to fix my brakes, but I am only going back there because it is warrantied. Once my brakes are fixed I will never return to the Southington, CT location.

Had no problem with the actual work that was done (replace tires). Frustrated that even with an appointment and was told the job generally takes 1.5 hours that it took over 5 hours to get my vehicle back and no one called to let me know of the delay. I had to call 4 hours later to ask about the status and was told it would definitely be done in an hour. However it wasn't done then either. We have always had good service without any problem on previous visits.

I only have my cars serviced at Firestone. I know when my girls and I drive our cars out that we are well taken care of and no questions that they have made sure our cars are safe. from home I travel 40 minutes past many service shops to go to Firestone! Amazing Crew and Clean ! Quality Service !

Southington Firestone did not have my special blend for an oil change, but assured me they would secure and complete in a timely fashion (they did). They attended to and corrected some minor details (no additional charge). They consistently provide friendly, prompt and reliable service at a great price. I have awarded them 5 full stars and they greatly deserve it. I would recommend the Southington (Ct.) Firestone to anyone as a pleasant departure from the more common torturous experiences of today's repair shops.

I have not found service anywhere else as good as it is in the Firestone store in Southington. Manager, Frank, goes out of his way to take good care of me and my daughters (I have them bring their cars there too now), and the work on the vehicles is always top notch. His staff is all knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Even the cleanliness of the store is impressive. I highly recommend this store.

We were hit with an unexpected and expensive repair. The guys worked on it all day and after closing. I had to sign up for the Firestone credit and they helped me with that too. When I was having second thoughts, Frank showed me what was going on so I could see for myself. Hey, you don't get to be a AAA authorized garage for nothing!

Or use Firestone to install tires on my car that I purchased from Tire Rack they did an excellent job balance mounted and took care of my TPMS sensor's that I forgot to mention. I was so pleased with their work that I purchase a set of tires for my mothers car and Firestone in Southington install them. The service there is excellent and the price is right

I drive 25,000 miles a year and so I go through tires. I had low pressure, took my Subaru into the dealer and he said it was time to get new tires and that I had to do it right away. I stopped at Starbucks to meet up with my boss before we went to a client meeting and I'm telling her my tale of woe, when this lovely lady hands me a piece of paper with the name and number of her husband's Firestone Tire Shop in Southington. I called him up, they took me right in and had me back on the road in an hour. My car is loving the new ride, which gives me better mileage. My husband is happier to because (of course) he had been telling me for a couple of months I needed new tires. Thank you!

We recently moved to town, and after 17 years at our previous garage, we needed to find a new one. Picked this Firestone because it's a AAA garage. These guys are good...they don't try to sell you on anything you don't need. They tell you what things will cost, and the prices are true. Also, the hours are better than our old place.

I had to have tires and something was totally off with my car as it had been towed. They replaced the shocks and struts and even gave me the piece that was bent to give to my insurance company . If Firestone is smart, they will REPLaCE the shoddy crew in their Wallingford store!!!! Stay away from there!!!!

I went to Bristol Firestone a few weeks ago, I had to leave town to Boston and was over due for an oil change - they squeezed me in the night before thankfully & the service was professional & quick . I will be back :)

had issues with both our vehiclees ... 1 flat tire and 1 battery that needed to be replaced ... had no appointment ... showed up at 9am with both cars ... got a call back that they were both ready in LESS than 1 hour !

I used to do oil service here like once every three months(whenever i have the coupon). They also help to do additional services like tire rotation(i have firestone tires) battery check etc. Much better than the one in Bristol.

we travel from waterbury to southington for service...the technicians and staff are pleasant and keep the customers informed on their cars status..they dont force products or services on the customer yet give the customer the choice to choose additional services if they are in need of it

My wife's car needed a regular servicing and "lifetime" wheel alignment. I called, was informed of a mutually convenient time and left the vehicle. I returned at the agreed time and drove off with all work completed and advice on what to schedule. Next time I come in for service.
