January 26, 2019 To: Firestone Company/Corporate On Thursday, 1/24/19 I had my 1986 Ford Class B+ RV towed ($75 cost) to the Firestone location in Fairfield, CA. It presumably had a leak in a radiator hose and/or radiator. It was found to have 2 bad heater hoses and heater control valve. I approved to have them replaced; work was performed on Friday 1/25/2019. Saturday 1/26/2019 I asked my granddaughter to come from out of town to drive my car while I drove the van back to Rio Vista, approximately 27 miles. When I arrived at the storage facility white smoke started billowing from under the hood. Upon further inspection I found coolant/anti-freeze had leaked on the pavement where I stopped to park. I noticed the heater valve was wet and also it appeared there was splash marks on other parks of the engine under the hood. I immediately called the Fairfield Firestone, they told me to bring it back in, and this is approximately a 30 minute drive. After I arrived and signed it back in to have it reexamed I headed out to the parking lot where my other car was with my granddaughter. I notice the van had been moved to a bay, I walked there to speak to the mechanic, it was obvious that he was trying to tighten the screw on one of the clamps that was on one of the hoses. I questioned him and he said it seemed the clamp had come loose, that seemed totally plausible to me and didn’t worry much about it. I said great, and that I had to leave for a bit but would be back later. A couple of hours later I received a call from the Firestone shop, not sure who it was that I spoke with, but he informed me another hose was found to be defective and needed replacement. I told him what the mechanic had told me earlier, he put me on hold and when he got back to me said the mechanic was not correct but instead another bad hose was found, and it would be Monday before they could order. I then heard his scripted spiel about how he tells many of their customers the same thing, that there are occasions where one bad part can lead to another bad part and so on and so forth. I told him that I had questioned persons on the phone before picking up the van this morning if the van had been test driven, I was told they don’t test drive, but only run the engine, and spoke of 19 psi, and how it can go up to higher psi’s when actually driven. OK, what mechanic school did I go too? The man I spoke to this afternoon further went on to quote more psi facts, only to fall on uneducated women’s head. Why couldn’t the other bad hose been found with the 2 pressure checks that were supposedly done yesterday. I don’t think I should have to pay for any additional work. I think they are either incompetent in their work or not being entirely truthful. I should have been wary of this shop, several months ago I took my Honda Accord in for a tune-up/spark plug replacement, since then it has performed worse than it was before I took in to this shop. I mentioned it today when paying for the van, but it seemed to get side stepped. I’m giving you the opportunity to make this right, get whatever hose(s) and pressure checks, new fluid done without me putting out another penny or I will post it on Facebook and Yelp. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of as a women, and at age 70 I my health/heart can’t take this stress. I hold people in good faith until there are these types of shady incidences, this is twice now with my 2 vehicles and that is 2 too many! Jan Jones Gross

Great, fast, and friendly service! Everyone was great and gave so much information! I am definitely returning, and telling my family and friends to bring their cars here. I recently blew my tire out on my car. I brought my car into my local firestone car center and was blown away by the service that my sales advisor gave me. He was honest and helpful and never did I feel him try and oversell me. He suggested several options and I felt that his suggestions were best suited for my specific needs. Utimately I walked away feeing very satisfied and was taken care of. Great job!!!!

This location will never promise you a one day repair! They have personnel and management problems that causes havoc with customers schedule! They can't do the math as to when to stop taking in cars for repair!! Pay a bit more and go elsewhere if you're wise!

Went there for an oil change and tire replacement. After a quick courtesy check, they found out that one of my Firestone tire has a nail. They can fix it for me, but I have to pay $20. I told the guy that I bought all of my tires from them but he said that it's not on their system. After explaining to him what happened he told me that that I still need to pay I want it fixed. Even though I'm buying another two tires from them! I contacted the customer service through online chat and was told that I will receive a phone call within 24hrs from one of the management. I was so upset and decided to go to a different Firestone location. The guy who helped seems very nice. I told him my unhappy experience at hilltop mall Firestone autocare and they're willing to help me fix one of my Firestone tire. Only if I'm going to buy the tires from them. At first I thought it's already a done deal but I decided to go somewhere else. I feel like it's not right to do business with them anymore. Now my tire is fixed and got new tires from other autocare. I'm NOT COMiNG BACK to this place again! NEVER AGAIN!

I was notified immediately by the srrvice advisor when the technician realized that he could not provide the wheel alignment needed because inadequate parts had been placed on my car by a prior mechanic. The advisor referred me to the appropriate type of business to have the faulty work reviewed and necessary repairs could be made by qualified mechanics. I appreciated this and feel they deserve 5 stars for this show of courtesy, concern and knowledge! (Survey would allow me to give 4 stars only).

The service is great here and the people are even better. They are honest and let you know what's going on with your car, things that need to be fixed and try to help out with the costs. Overall very good service. Seemed to do a proper job. Honest staff. They let me know what should be done or can wait to be done. Good prices (gave me any discounts they could). Only real complaint is that I was there for about 6 hours when it probably should have taken between 3-4 hours (I had an appointment and business was pretty slow when I arrived). Lady customer I chatted with had been waiting for over 2 hours for her car to be looked at and she had an appointment...not good. I will go again and recommend to friends but hopefully service will be faster.

Service was great, store was clean, prices were reasonable. However, when I went to return my leased vehicle, I noted that the fluids had not been topped off. I was relieved when this was not counted against me; but annoyed that it had not been done.

I was in last month for a full brake job just after the 1st of the year. It was clear that the employees were not happy about new policies and their new manager and it bled over into very poor, abrupt, and defensive customer service. I had gotten a price off the internet for the service I came in for and was told that the price was an old price and it had been increased. I told the employee that it was still on the site and finally the manager stepped in to smooth the situation. I was actually concerned that the quality of work on my brakes might be compromised. When I picked my car up that evening yet another employee freely vented his frustrations as I paid for my service. The following week I came in for an oil change and things appeared to be better but it was clear that the morale was not good. As a customer, I felt uncomfortable with these experiences and was concerned about the morale of the person working on my car and hoped that he would take pride in his work anyway. The the prices were very reasonable, but if the Firestone shop was not right across the street from my neighborhood I probably would not return.

I first started going to Firestone for service in San Francisco. When I moved to San Mateo, I found that there was a Firestone there as well. Now that I live in Richmond, I see that they are everywhere! It must start from the top, because I have always had good service and good results by bringing my cars to Firestone for everything from tires to tune-ups! Keep up the good work!

I have been at this store location twice and the waiting time is ridiculous! The last time I went people were complaining as well that they were taking longer than what they orinally told them. The store manager was nice but he needs to hire more people not only in the shop but up front too

Whenever I need work done, I take both my cars to Firestone. Not only are they close to me, but the employees are nice, experienced, and treat me and my car right. I can go there and they usually take me in, unless they're especially over loaded with cars. Sometimes they can do the work, and other times it's just for diagnostics. I trust them to get the work done.

Have a not so great experience at Hilltop firestone. Was emailed by corporate that I would be getting a call from Someone to discuss issue and it has been a month and no call. I have been going to firestone for all my cars there for past 15 yrs and now time to look else where.

I requested an oil change service along with some other maintenance tasks but I had done the oil change just a few weeks back and the car was not even 1000 miles since the last oil change. I know it was my mistake because I was thinking that my car needed oil change but it was my wife's car which needed this service. Firestone went ahead and changed the oil anyway so It will nice if you computer system could have a pop up that tells when oil change or any other service is not due yet. Thank you.

went in for a wheel alignment and they tried to upsell me, they did not no i was a transmission machanic, i under stand trying to sell me on the parts for fixing my car but after 4 hours of waiting they tried to sell me a inner tyrod and a brake flush for a stupid high price, itwas the outer tyrod and i got all of the job done for 140.00 not the 475,00, what a joke,got my car back in worseshape then when i brought it in. will never go back, matter of fact i cut up my card after that

I went their couple of times, this place is never packed up but the average check up time is 8 hours. No matter what u do, the employee there gonna get u stuck for atleast a day. If u have a whole day to fix the minor thing in your car, go! Othewise, skipping this place would be the great.

Once again, I had a flat tire and came to my local Firestone to get service. I bought a new tire to replace my flat as well as windshield wipers. I left my old tire there for service. I was told to come back in 1 hour. Came back after 2 hours or so and it wasn't done. Same issue as last, they misplaced the order. As they looked for someone to blame, they wasted another 30 minutes before someone decided they should just work on it. I don't know why I keep giving them my business but I guess I was hoping that things would have changed since it's been awful for so long.
