This is the only Firestone place I take my cars to service minor or major. I always get right advise and honest opinions, and courteous service from every member of the staff, service writers and the manager Mike Norman. I recommended many friends to this store for their automotive service needs, tires, batteries, and everything else

Dropped my car off overnight without warning due to a loud noise, I had a call by 8:30 the next morning and picked it up that evening all repaired! They are always friendly and don't make you feel dumb bc you don't know about your car and what could be wrong.

I was experiencing vibration and hesitation when starting to drive forward or reverse my Honda Odyssey 2003. In addition the "Check Engine" light was on and flashing; plus the TCS light was also on. They asked $XX to just diagnose; i was ok with that. I got a call after 4 hours saying that i need to replace Spark Plug and Ignition Coil; they mentioned they are 99% confident that the issue will be resolved. I agree with them and authorized the service. After 4 hours they called me again and mentioned we would need more work like EGR Valve, PCV Valve and Gasket replacement which was estimated $XXXX plus USD. I declined and went to their shop. I said; i am not satisfied with the diagnosis; also they changed the ignition coil boots and not the ignition coil; they waived the $XX diagnosis fees and said your vehicle is getting bad; even if i do what they are recommending will not help; they suggested me to sell my vehicle. Also; they charged too much for parts; spark plugs was $X each etc. and labor is XXX$ per hour. After the service I didn’t felt any difference. I went to a local mechanic; he said my engine mounts and couple of ignition coil needs replacement. He replaced that and the issue was resolved.

I took my vehicle in due to my brakes making noises that sounded bad. I was expecting the worse outcome. ( new brakes, rotors) . I was pleasantly surprised that it was only my back rotors that needed replaced. I was very happy with the honest service provided. Jared helped me out and was very friendly and contacted me as soon as service looked at them. He quoted me the price and it was ready in a timely manner.

Where do I even start? Three months and 6 visits to get a proper exhaust system replacement on my 2002 Saturn LS. A continual comedy/tragedy of incompetence, apathy, and poor communication. At the first visit, the wrong parts were put in, which began to rattle terribly within a hundred miles of driving. Four times I brought it back in, and they "tightened" it, yet failed to identify that they had installed the wrong parts. The fifth time, they figured this out. I left my car with them for four business days, then called to check in; they said it was ready for pick-up. Then when I got there, I found out that it wasn't ready at all, and that the parts hadn't even arrived yet. I contacted corporate twice and a regional representative finally called me back and got me set up with a rental car for my work commute while my car was worked on for the next five days. Firestone covered the rental cost, but I still had to pay $80 of insurance on it. Anyways, finally on my 6th visit, I was able to pick up my vehicle with a working exhaust system with the right parts, and now it doesn't rattle anymore. But this whole ordeal cost me a lot of time and energy. No compensation of any sort -- whether a discount or a coupon or otherwise -- was ever offered for my trouble. Needless to say, I'm never coming back. I'm canceling my Firestone card and account and finding a new mechanic. I am sad about this, because my previous Firestone branch in Riverside was great for the last 8 years when I lived up there. But I am in Kettering now and I have a life to live, and I can't spend it on endless trips to the mechanic to fix the same problem. I'm done.

We took our van for brakes in Feb of this year. After they were serviced, they felt mushy so we took it back. We were told there wasn't any problem, most likely just a cold brake line. My husband's father was a mechanic and understood the importance of good brakes, so my husband knew this wasn't an acceptable answer. We took it somewhere else and they found the brake fluid was dirty and when they test drove it, the brakes went out - the master cylinder was bad. Last week, we noticed there was a coolant leak. Even with that bad experience, we thought we'd give them one more try so we took it in to have the leak evaluated. Instead of doing what was asked (find out where the coolant was leaking), they did a complete vehicle inspection and then said it didn't look like the coolant was leaking that much so it's not really a problem, don't worry about it. Come back if it gets bad and then we'll do the pressure check. We couldn't believe it. Took it somewhere else and the first thing they did was a pressure check, and found that the radiator was leaking which we had them replace. While we were waiting this last time, my husband kept reading the big poster in the store that talks about the quality service, expert technicians, honestly, reliability, etc. Obviously, this location does not meet those standards. We will not be back for any type of service and we're making sure everyone we know won't go there as well.

Today I called this store and was hung up on twice when they put me on hold. Then on the 3rd call, John answered. I asked if he could give me an estimate on AC Repair. He said it wouldn't be an exact quote, I said I understand. I told him that I needed a Compressor and Accumulator Dehydrator. He said without hesitation $1,000 -$1500(flip). Didn't ask for make, model or year of my vehicle. I said that's way higher than I've been quoted. He said he'd have to check it to tell me the exact penny(flip). I told him I was calling around to get a better price than what I was quoted with the vehicle in their competitor's garage and they told me what I needed. He said, well, OK(flip). Didn't offer to look up my vehicle, check to see if price were compatible, nothing.

I so appreciate Firestone and the great guys who work there... at a time when I needed a car service, they were there to help me. I had gone through a bankruptcy and needed work done on my car and wanted to open a charge with them. I was wonderfully surprised when my application was approved and greatly appreciated the trust Firestone placed in me. That has been several years ago and I would never go anywhere else for service. I am one very satisfied customer!

The folks in Centerville, OH take care of borh of my cars, MAXIMA 310,000 and a 450SL 300,000+ miles. Both run great, but do need work time to time. Always get timely service and quality. never have to worry about something done wrong. From time to time, it's hard to figure out the issue due to the mileage, but these guys always get it right.

On last oil/filter change noticed drip spots on garage floor. This is not unusual because little effort appears to be made to wipe off the excess oil dripped from the filter change each time this service is performed. Eventually, it slows to a stop. this time it did not. Took the auto back. Was checked and told filter looks okay. Week later had to take it to local mechanic who looked at it and discovered the filter had not been seated properly. Mechanic took the filter off and placed back on properly. $44 and problem solved.

Have taken my cars to Firestone for many years which is much further than the competition which is in walking distance of my home because of the service level and not trying to sell you something you don't need. The GM Mike is always upfront and honest which keeps me coming back.

I've been using Firestone in Wisconsin and Ohio for about 8 years now. Up until the last couple of years, I felt the service was good. But now I fear they are doing more harm than good. Three years ago they "checked" my radiator hoses during a courtesy check. That week my main radiator hose cracked and my engine over heated. I replaced the hose myself. About Nov of 2013, they flushed my radiator. A week later, the seal on my transmission cooler broke, allowing radiator fluid into my transmission. I HAD TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. Coincidence? I don't know. I gave Firestone the benefit of the doubt, but the transmission repair shop suggested the radiator flush could have caused the problem. A few months ago I took in my car to rotate the tires. They suggested that I flush the brake lines because the fluid looked contaminated. I asked them how long the service was guaranteed and they replied 1 year. Then I reminded them that they performed that service six months earlier on that vehicle. Later the mechanic admitted he didn't check the particulate level in the fluid or the vehicle's history and he said the service wasn't really necessary. My vehicles are both 1999, so my review is worth a grain of salt. But I've lost faith in the Centerville Firestone service center and am seeking another shop.
