Expensive inspection fees when I told them what was wrong. Very clear cut problem that costed me $53 for them to tell me what I told them. On top of that, you still have to pay that fee even if you get the work done there!

They are always honest about what needs to be done and what might be able to wait.

I took my car into a local Firestone for an overheating engine in February 2015. They diagnosed the problem as a failing head gasket. Upon opening the engine they recommended heads, valves, and gaskets. I had a new water pump installed among with a new alternator. Once the engine was resembled, I had an engine code stating a misfire. They replaced that, then I got a code for some sensors. They replaced several O2 sensors and the maf sensor. Finally they sent it to the dealership and found that the timing was off. $4000 later I had my car back. But, they put a hold in my catalytic converter. Well here it is November 2015 and my original overheating problem has returned. It started in October. They've run pressure tests, flushed the radiator and heater core plus replaced the overflow tank cap. All to no avail. I am beyond upset and frustrated. I will never recommend anyone to Firestone. I want a full refund of a new engine. I refuse to pay for anymore engine work dealing with engine overheating because I feel they misdiagnosed or didn't properly repair the engine. I am prepared to speak with the better business bureau and/or take legal action against Firestone.

This is the first time I've ever had all the tires off my vehicle at a repair center and did not have to re-tighten the lugnuts after getting the vehicle home. Usually there is at least one or two lugs that i'll be able to move with a simple hand wrench. This time all lugnuts were not only tight, but were at correct torque. Kudos to the tech who performed the service this time!

We have a Saturn 11 years old and my mother's car 11 year old pacifica. They also took care of our car before those, they have alwy taken care and so let us know if there was something that needed tending in the future. We always walked away with the feeling that we had gotten the best service. I could go on and on, I can't thank them enough or all they have done to keep us rolling and how much we appreciate the whole staff.

My car had a radiator sensor blow out on the highway on 4th of July weekend. It was only two hours before closing, and by the time I got towed to the store, it was closed. The manager had stayed and made sure I got my paperwork straight and dropped the keys in the after-hours box. The next day, they called me and had fixed my problem... they were great and my car has never run better. Thanks to the whole team out there for working on a HOLIDAY.

Martin Escobedo did an absolute amazing job and helped me get the best value for my work. He could have charged me whatever and I would not have even known, but he search high and low to help me save and get the best product. I will return.

We decided to give Firestone a shot, since they were just down the street from us. We had our rear brakes completely redone about a year ago, because the drivers' rear caliper locked up, and have had a few problems due to the workmanship and quality of parts used. Those were resolved, generally. About 2 months ago, we started hearing a squeaking/squealing noise while driving, as well as could smell and feel the rear brakes getting hot (the same brake that originally had the caliper lock up, in fact, was by far the worst one). The squeaking was intermittent on short trips, but pretty consistent on longer (20+ min) trips, but persisted once it started for the duration of the trip (although stopped squeaking for the short durations whenever the brakes were applied). About a month ago, we took the vehicle to Firestone to have it checked out. Despite "driving" the vehicle for a "long time" on two occasions that day (the second was at my request). The drive to Firestone was 90 minutes (we've moved and there isn't one much closer to us) and it was doing it on the drive there. The Firestone guys couldn't reproduce the problem and said the brakes appeared to be operating normally. OK. On the drive home, not only did they squeaked, but the brakes got so hot that I could smell them. It was about 25 minutes into the drive at this point. I avoided using them as much as possible and we got home safely. It was pretty obvious to me that they didn't try very hard to figure out what was going on -- or in trying to reproduce the problem. The next day I spent about 10 minutes looking for information online. Found out what might be the problem (there happens to be a TSB for this specific model and year vehicle to rectify rear brake drag, with symptoms being exactly what we were experiencing). I scheduled an appointment at the Ford dealer who inspected the brakes (which were fine, despite the pads being not very good quality, for supposedly being top-of-the-line) and concluded that the problem was a combination of the pads that were installed and that TSB (which I had not informed them of ahead of time). Imagine that, they know what they're doing. They replaced the pad and performed the TSB (which just amounts to replacing the rear brake caliper mounts ~ 1 hour of labor) and we have not had any problems since. The customer service at Firestone has generally been good in our encounters, but it's pretty clear to us that we wouldn't take anything serious here, due to lack of caring and expertise.
