This little store is in the heart of Federal Hill and despite it's size they deliver professional and personal service that rival their larger locations that I have been too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they treat you like one of the family.While visiting I observed other customers who were happy with their experiences as well. Not only do they make the best tires, they are an honorable company who will not leave you disatisfied(smile)

After stating my wheel felt like it was coming off. Mechanic still drove it and instead of backing it in garage. By driving it, the strut came from up under the vehicle while firestore tech was driving and did more damage to my front end. Instead of having to pay for just strut. I had to pay for more things to fix including my fender is damaged. On top of that, I called back to ask about the firestone insurance and Judy breaks nasty with me. Very unprofessional.

This shop installed non Firestone tires I ordered on-line at the price quoted. They did not try to sell additional services and the job was done promptly. They are very convenient and have long hours.

I used Firestone 10/31/15 because my service engine light was on. Firestone did a diagnostic test and came up with the code P0012 and they recommended an oil change which was wrong. P0012 code refers to the VVT (variable valve timing) or VCT (variable camshaft timing) components and the car's PCM (powertrain control module, also called an ECM).

I can't say that you'll have the same experience I did -- I'm a regular customer, had just been in a week or two before for an oil change, but I was so appreciative when I dropped in to get a brake light replaced and it was taken care of in 10 minutes -- unexpectedly free of charge! What a great way to start a work week. And they've guaranteed themselves a loyal customer.

After my service was "complete," I was chatting with the techs and reviewing my invoice. When I asked questions they did not seem to know the answers, nor could tell me what was done or not done to my car. They didn't know if a tail light was replaced and offered to change it for free. Then I realized I had already been charged for it and they just shrugged their shoulders. This was obviously frustrating. I left annoyed and with no intentions to return. They called the next day and offered me my next oil change for free. Maybe it was just a miscommunication between the techs but when you are spending close to $600, I'd rather feel confident everything I needed done was done.

I have been having recurring problems with my Saturn overheating, leaking coolant, etc. I have taken it in 4 times in the past four months and they worked on the car and fixed multiple issues (each time being a few hundred dollars up to a $900 visit). The problem persisted and this time they had to replace the radiator which is probably another $400+ job. When I walked in to pay for it this morning, the mechanic said that they were only charging me for my oil change as the radiator problem should have been seen and addressed as a root of the problem during one of my previous visits. The fact that they acknowledged this lapse during their inspections and didn't charge me for this mistake is huge to me and really shows that these mechanics and this store do respect their customers and the work they do. It takes a lot to admit a mistake, especially when it costs you money.

The guys here are the best! Even though they are a chain, it feels more like you local mom and pop shop. I've tried several mechanics in the Baltimore area and Firestone had by far the best customer service. As someone who knows very little about cars, I really appreciate that they take the time to explain all my options and recommend the best course of action. I totally trust these guys to help me figure out what's best for my car at the best value. They are on the more pricy side, but for honest and trustworthy service you can count on, it is well worth it!

I have used this location for the past 6 years and the service has steadily gotten worse. I was totally disappointed in my last visit. I was annoyed me highly off to find that they had lowered my window completely down when it doesnt work half the time. They made no effort to put the window back up had I not picked it up before they closed it would have been left to sit out in the rainn and snow with and open window. And possibly had gotten stolen. I will be looking for a new place to have my vehicle serviced They didnt bother to read the online service requests and missed an item

I was going to fill out a survey to comment on the current (I believe he’s still there, as he was a few months ago) manager at the Hanover Street Firestone in Baltimore, MD, but saw that if I had a customer service issue to email you, however when i did that the email bounced back (go figure). The only reason I went to that store recently, is out of desperation (even though it is the closest auto shop to me by far) because other places were not going to be able to fit me in. When I went there, the service I got was very good and I thought the manager with whom I’ve had issues was no longer there. I went back for another issue and spoke with the same gentleman to try and get scheduled for service the same day. They weren’t able to fit me in and out popped the manager whom I thought had left and with whom I had the issues previously. As they tried to schedule me for a future date, I declined to schedule for the future when I saw the manager was still there, whose manner was the same old annoying one I experienced in the past. The reason I’ll only go to that Firestone in desperation is because they fixed a driver side window of mine that was sticking. But in doing so, they cut a wire in the door that caused the car door to lock automatically when closed, causing me to lock my keys in the car on numerous occasions. When I took the car back and asked if they could have caused this issue, since I never had it happen before taking car to Firestone, the manager said it wasn’t possible that they did anything. My suspicions were confirmed when I went to another auto shop when they asked me why would someone have cut a wire in the car door, which is exactly what Firestone did. That caused me hundreds of dollars to fix and instead of dealing with the denying manager, I’ve just withheld my service going to that Firestone unless I’m absolutely desperate, even though its location is convenient and the pricing is cheaper.

Whenever I need maintenance done to my vehicle, I go to Firestone on Hanover St. The employees carefully explain what's going on with my car, and I never have a problem calling the day before to squeeze my car in. I trust them with my vehicle.
