    Mills Civic Location in West Des Moines - SCARES customers into trying to fix their vehicles. Horrible location! I had actually been told by OTHER Firestone locations NOT to use this location, but due to my tire rim size - had no choice for my alignment, but to go there. I see why I have been told about their manager Andy and also the service they provide. WONT BE GOING BACK.

    The mechanic fixed my temperature display reading when it wasn't even on his to do list. It always displayed -40 degrees and he reset the computer so now it reads the current temperature instead of -40. Thanks!!

    Excellent service, in the other side not sure if this can be take it as a request or suggestion but for costumers like Me that like to wait for the service to be done will be nice to have a nice tv set to enjoy or a coffee set that looks good to enjoy as well, instead of a really old items display...Thanks!!

    My family and I were taking a trip to see some friends and were traveling from MN to TX, we made it about 4 hours before we ran into an issue, the issue made us imoble and required us to get towed. We were towed into Firestone, Des Moines and explained what was happening with the vehicle (the RPM was not stabilizing and would not shift any higher than second gear, the check engine light was throwing several codes and the "ESP/BAS" light was on as well at the loss of traction light). It took the mechanics about 20 minutes to look at the vehicle and from there decided that the codes were inconclusive. This required an $80.00 system diagnostic to investigate the issue further. The conclusion that was reached was that the Mass Air Flow sensor was throwing the codes and needed to be replaced, I agreed and they moved forward. After seeing my receipt, it was NOT the MAF that was replaced, but the Throttle Position Sensor. I figured a terminology error happened and moved on, being that the codes were cleared on the vehicle and it was able to start up with no issues. We didn't make it more than 200 miles and the car broke down again, throwing the same codes. After consulting a different company and taking the issue into our own hands to fix, we replaced the TPS AGAIN and were able to complete our trip. While replacing the TPS, we found that Firestone had put in the part, that they claimed to have replaced, in upside down. After examining the TPS that was replaced by Firestone, it was cracked with moisture inside, which explains why we broke down a second time. This is extremely concerning and I have attempted to contact the shop directly several times and have yet to speak to someone who is willing to help me resolve this issue.     I made an appointment last Friday for an oil change, and they got me in the same day. I was late, and they still held my appointment. I won't go anywhere else.

    I was there a couple of months ago. I was traveling thru Des Moines on business and the shop was close to my hotel. The service was rude. I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I chose Firestone to give you my money. I could have kept driving up the road and found somewhere else to get my oil change done but I chose Firestone for your reputation . I didn't appreciate being treated the way I was. Like a stupid woman

    I had to have one tire and wheel replaced on short notice. They took care of it with ease. Then went back and had the other 3 tires replaced and full alignment. Very pleased with service I have received and will be back regularly.
