Sat on hold on the phone for prices for 30 minutes. Excuse? People keep walking in. What! Still no prices and seeking business elsewhere.

I had all four tires replaced, state inspection, along with an oil change. The entire process took less than 2hours. Usually it's a 6 hour job.

There Was Definitely No excellent service performed. Made an appointment for Monday, 16 November 2015, time nine o'clock. I arrived about 15 minutes prior to the appointment at nine o'clock, I did not receive my car back until about 15 after 12 p.m. Prior I inquired several times about my vehicle, they could not tell me anything. After about three hours I decided to go, to the back office make any required about my vehicle. A young man in the back check for me, saying it would be ready in about and hour, they change the oil and filter now. I asked him why would it take, over three hours to change, and oil and filled. He replied he did not know what, but he would check for me and let me know, when I pick my vehicle up. He got back with me saying that the oil filter, they received was bent, and needed to be replaced. I explained to him someone should've have came out and let me know what was going on. He apologized and said, there would be no labor charge.

I brought my car here with a "scheduled" appointment and even dropped the car off early to make sure they can get to it in time. I waited a couple hours after my scheduled appointment to insure to call them so that I could check the status of my vehicle. It was then that I found out they haven't even moved it from the spot I originally parked it at. I was told the mechanic was at lunch at 3:00 pm in the afternoon............ I told them not to touch the vehicle and I will pick it up once I got off work. I ended up taking my car to the actual dealership and got amazing service with no issues. So I'm glad firestone had horrible service because it led me in the right direction. I also had brought our other car in with the tow truck because the vehicle was completely disabled a week before this issue. They told us that it would take all day to change a battery... A car battery which usually takes a few minutes. I'm just never going to firestone again here in Hawaii. They no nothing about customer service.

I scheduled an oil change appointment for 11:30AM. I dropped my truck at 11:30 and left. Came back two hours later and my car was still parked and nothinfb has been done. What is the point of an appointment if you're going to help walk-ins and make me wait. You should just put first come first serve instead of making people schedule appointments and wait more than two hours. When I make an appointment I expect to have service at that time or 30 minutes at the latest, not 2 and half hours.

I used them 2 weeks ago. Horrible service. I went to Firestone cause I had a flat tire. They made me sit 7 hours for a 15 minute repair. They said my rim was bent and they "bended" to make it straight. They said my bent rim was causing my tire to loose air. When I left Firestone my tire went flat again. I took it to Chevy. They said I had a hole from a nail that came out of my tire. I will never go to Firestone again. It was a waste of time and the workers were very rude.

Went there for a single tire replacement and it took forever to get out of there and they didn't know what they were doing.

I had been told they were different from the other on post fire stones on island here but they were wrong. The service was terrible, my car sat outside for 10 minutes until I went to the desk to ask how long it was going to sit there before they wanted to tell me it was done. I was there to get a safety check and left with only a bill for things that aren't even on the checklist, which is what they do. They tell you that you won't pass unless you pay them to fix a bunch of things you don't need.

Discussed the type of tires I could purchase and all the pros and cons of the different types. Understood the road and driving conditions and recommended the best tires to fit my budget and needs. Price quote was almost exactly what I had researched on line and made sure I received a discount that was not on the Firestone Web site. Overall result happy customer.

My apt was 12:15 for an oil change. It took them until 3pm to finish. Also, when I walked in, it took about 5 minutes before anyone addressed me. That is the norm here. It's like you're not even in the room. The concept of greeting a customer when they first walk in is completely lost to this staff. There were other displeased customers there with the same issue. They were there to pick up and obviously never got as much as a phone call to be aware that it's taking them longer than expected. I take my vehicles here for convenience, but I would much rather drive off post for better service.

First off, I am a loyal Firestone customer and have had great experiences with them in the past. That being said, the Schofield location is absolutely substandard. I took my vehicle in for new rear brakes and rotors and it took over 5 days to complete. Also, the work was not done to standard as I had to return my vehicle two times so they could get my brakes fixed correctly. They put a defective (brand new) right rear rotor on my Jeep and instead of replacing it after I told them it was warped, they resurfaced it. On top of that, they told me they road tested my Jeep after the brakes were installed, but they did not. I noticed the extreme rear vibration when applying my brakes immediately in the Firestone PARKING LOT! I don't understand why they resurfaced a brand new rotor rather than just replacing the defective part. Seems to me that you can only resurface a rotor so many times and now the life of the rotor has been degraded. And they would not answer any of my questions as far as why the brand new rotor was warped in the first place. Unprofessional or they had limited knowledge. Either is as bad as the other I suppose. I will remain loyal to Firestone products. As a matter of fact, I will buy Firestone tires for my other Jeep in a month or so because the quality of tires is second to none. I WILL NOT visit this location though. It is not a good place to do business.

The lack of conviction the techs have in regards to the keeping of their word is disappointing at best. If you say you can have work done by a certain time, then have it done. And if you can't, at least have the decency to inform the customer prior so he or she can have time to make alternate arrangements.

I used these guys last month despite the bad reviews becuase I could walk back to work rather than wait - Big mistake. I had an appointment to replace front ball joints which was quoted to take 2-3 hours. I dropped it off at 9:00am and at 5:00pm they said they couldn't finish it that day. Had to call the wife to get a ride. Ended up taking another full day because they apparently broke a part and had to replace that too. Also used a different brand of parts than I requested. On a positive note they did refund labor charges for my inconvenience (hence the 2-star vs. just 1-star rating). based off my experience and talking directly with the mechanic working on my vehicle, I get the impression that they do not know what they are doing mechanically. I have taken my car elsewhere with better results since then

My last experience wasn't so pleasant but it was rectified. The purpose of making an appointment is to have your services done on a schedule and not have to wait because you are behind on your work. And one of the things I also experienced was seeing employees in the work area playing with kids/family members while I wait for my services.

Firestone Schofield issued me a refund. Thank you for the prompt reply. It shows excellent customer service to resolve a situation that could have had dire consequences (inappropriate repair of the rear shocks and strut when the front strut was severely broken leaking oil, that could have led to car breakdown while driving on the freeway). They told me that I needed a $900 pump because it was a Mercedes pump to get my 'Check Engine' light to turn off. They replaced it, and the light did not go away. They could not explain why. I took it to another mechanic that found that it was a bad fuse, and according to the stored faults, the pump was never bad. Further, they had put an Isuzu part in instead of a Mercedes part. So they charged me almost $1000 for a part that I didn't need, and didn't even give me that part that they charged me for.

When I dropped my car off, I was told it would take 2 hours to look at and fix and/or replace my 1 flat tire. They told me I could keep my car and come back in 2 hours for them to put the tire on the car. I told them from the beginning that if it was going to be faster to just put a new tire on my car, I was fine with that and would pay for a new tire. The guy at the counter told me they could not put a new tire on my car without checking the leaky tire. I came back and my tire had not even been looked at. They asked me to give them 2 more hours. I told them I would wait in the waiting room hoping they would not forget about my 1 tire. 2 hours past and I went back to the service counter. I was told my tire was ready. The guy went to look for my paperwork and could not find it. It was way down in the complete pile. He went to grab my tire and it still had not been touched. My paperwork was in the complete pile and my tire never had anyone even look at it. At this point, they told me someone called in sick and I was just going to have to wait. 2 hours later, I finally had a new tire on my car.

I took my car in because it was overheating. They replaced a sensor and said it was fixed. It overheated the next day. I took it in again. They kept it overnight and then decided it was the water pump causing the overheating. I asked if it could be the radiator and was assured it was not. The price they qouted was really high, so I decided to take my car elsewhere. I took it to a local mechanic who found the radiator needed to be replaced. He fixed it for less than half the price Firestone quoted and my car has not overheated since.

I visit Schofield Barracks Firestone for my maintenance and some repairs. The work is generally good to excellent, but, the communication needs work. I've requested, for example, to have my battery water level checked specifically, it wasn't. Had to stay longer so a manager could check and fill my battery. When I requested to quote a repair during a maintenance visit, they did the quote and charged me for the investigation, but failed to inform me the part had to be ordered and I need to return and drop off again. Several times I requested a call back when work or service is completed, only to have to call Firestone and ask, to find out the work or service was completed and I could have planned my day to pick up my vehicle. Those are a few examples. The work, in general, is good to excellent, when the service or repair is done.
